A true retreat. Spacious, well-appointed room; glorious breakfast dining table beside balcony over looking native forest; fabulous textile crafts on the walls and hand made quilts on the back of comfy lounge chairs in the various open spaces to sit and relax. Great to greet Egbert the emu outside our window each morning as he strolled by in the wildlife park next door.

All only 25 mins from Adeliade CBD. Highly recommended.

Great location, nice and quiet. No access to the spay, but understandable with the lack of water. Fantastic little getaway to take your significant other.
Right next to Warrawong, feeding emus amd roos every morning.
Definitely coming back.

Beautiful, well appointed room with own entry, chairs, table, tea & coffee, TV and large bathroom. Shared lounge and dining facilities, if required. Generous breakfast included 😋.
Friendly and helpful, but not intrusive hosts!
Situated just outside Mylor in the Adelaide Hills and a good base for day trips, eg Hahndorf is less than 20mins drive.
We stayed in the Iris room, but the other room had a spa bath with a view of the Stringybark trees and valley.
Books, games and even a massage chair are all provided.
Next door is a Wildlife sanctuary and you can hear/see some of the residents along the mutual fence line: emu, koala, dingo, wallaby, kookaburras, parrots. Not very much human noise 😀.

Anne and June have done an an awesome job in creating a lovely place in the Adelaide hills.||The feel of being away from it all and surrounded by bush was so relaxing. And yet the nearest shopping and coffee places were less than a few kilometres away.||Our hosts made sure we were were well looked after, breakfast provisions left for us and our room wanted for nothing. ||We were encouraged to use any facilities we wanted and the BBQ on the deck was perfect.||The place immediately makes you feel at home. This was our second stay at Stringybark , our first stay was interrupted by a family bereavement. And our gracious hosts at that time put our getaway on hold so we could return when things settled.||It was lovely to return and pick up where we left off.||Warrawong sanctuary is right next door and we were treated to the dingo choir in the morning and friendly kangaroos saying g’day at the fence…. Didn’t see any koalas but heard them whilst cooking the bbq.||The Adelaide hills offer some spectacular produce and tourist destinations and we only scratched the surface with our two night stay… we will be back and I can say if a trip to the hills is on your bucket list… do yourself a favour and make Stringybark hills retreat your base. Thanks again Anne and June for such a relaxing time.

First impressions and experience absolutely disgusted pay our money and drove off to Harndorf for a better more positive experience shame on you all. Keep our hard earned money your PIN code would not even let us in and when I rang you told me someone would be there. How would I rate the experience less than < 0.

What a great location and experience to have !Visiting from Canada along with our Australian family.The accommodation and facilities were more than adequate for our adventure in the Adelaide hills.What a joy to be close to Australian wild life in there natural surroundings.Nice room ,great breakfast, wonderful host.After a full day out relax in comfort and be greeted in the morning by the sounds of Kookaburras and Dingos .What a great experience to take back to the cold in Canada.
