I had an excellent experience at Blackwood in Cronulla! Despite being incredibly busy on a public holiday, the staff managed the fast-paced environment effortlessly. They handled the demand with ease and never made us feel pressured to vacate our table, even with the long queue for brunch. The food was top-notch and very well-priced, which made the wait worth it.

I ordered the goddess salad with a poached egg and a matcha latte—both were delicious! Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as well. We were there with a newborn, and the staff thoughtfully provided us with a table that had plenty of space. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and will definitely be returning.

Food was pretty damn good but service was disappointing. The staff who was managing the waitlist was super rude to me and it honestly ruined my morning.

It was a chill Sunday morning and fairly busy so I put my name down on the wait list. I was told that the wait would be 20 minutes and so my group went for a stroll down the block and back. We came back about 15 minutes later and waited to speak with the staff at the front. After getting her attention, I said “Hi, I’m Angel for 3” and then pointed my name out on the waitlist. She stared at me, then started getting passive aggressive. She was borderline yelling that she had called my name out 5 times and that she gave away our table just now. She then proceeded to ask whether we were gonna be leaving. I just stood there in shock as her rage was uncalled for. I did not display any anger at her, in fact I was pretty chill until she cracked it at me. The way she handled the situation was very unprofessional and my friends were quite disgusted by her behaviour. We honestly didn’t mind the wait but she was being very rude about it.

After we were seated, all the staff serving us at the tables were friendly and nice. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was lovely - huge portion and tasty. The iced Milo (w expresso) was a bit milky but I still enjoyed the chocolate taste. However, I couldn’t shake off the unpleasant experience at the front.

Anywho, not sure if I’ll be back but it was one of the worst memories I’ve had at a cafe. It is honestly really unfortunate because the food was great.

Hubby found these guys on google search.
Went there Saturday morning, most amazing bacon and egg rolls ever!! Ordered the hash browns on the side as extra. Coffee was superb. Full table service too. In a very quaint laneway.

Went for breakfast on the weekend, ordered eggs your way and added on an $18 “wagyu” steak.

What was brought out was this miserably overcooked and grey steak.

I’ve had whole steak meals at pubs for that price that have been cooked better.

Brunch for 2 worked out to be $88 for two coffees and two meals.

At this price point I would’ve expected a steak cooked properly.

Won’t be returning, and avoid the steak if you go.

Had a nice breakfast, staff are very friendly. It is just a bit expensive, comparing to both quality and quantity.

Great spot for breakfast/brunch. The cappuccino and chai tea were excellent. Our breakfast choices of chili scrambled eggs did not disappoint. Friendly service and a good vibe.

I had a really great time at this cafe near Cronulla Beach.

I tried their Oat Milk Biscoff Latte, and honestly, it was a genius combo. The sweet, spiced Biscoff with the creamy oat milk was absolutely delicious! I’m definitely going to come back just for that.

For food, I ordered the SCHNITTY SUGO SAMBO, which came with herb and garlic chicken schnitzel, slow-braised tomato sugo, Comté cheese, onions, shredded iceberg lettuce, mayo, and sweet pickles, all in a warm Turkish roll. It also came with Rosemary Fries with Truffle Mayo on the side. The sandwich was super fresh and full of flavors, but I felt like it needed just a bit more seasoning to really take it to the next level. Otherwise, everything was spot on!

I also got a chance to try their Create Plate option. I built mine with sourdough, scrambled eggs, roasted mushrooms with herbs de Pecorino, and falafels. The mushrooms were perfectly roasted, and the falafels were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only small issue was the scrambled eggs—they were a bit too buttery for my liking, but still enjoyable.

To finish off, I had a cappuccino, which was very well made. The balance of espresso and milk was just right, and it was a nice way to round out the meal.

The only downside for me was the price, which is on the expensive side, but given the vibe, location, and the friendly service, I felt it was worth it. The atmosphere was really relaxed, and it’s a perfect spot to chill near the beach. All in all, a great cafe experience that I’d recommend if you’re looking for a fresh meal and good coffee near Cronulla Beach!

Very vibrant spot. It speaks for itself that this place is packed, while the ones we passed by were half-full. Very generous portions and in general - decent value for money ratio. Home chippies are really nice.
The only slight downturn was the hostess. While all other staff were acting professionally and with a welcoming attitude, she rarely made eye contact while speaking to us and made us feel not in the right place. I hope it was just a one time thing and she was just tired.
