The Pilotage - Yamba, New South Wales

Really enjoyed our stay at the Pilotage number 2. 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in the heart of Yamba. 2 min walk to the iconic Pacific Hotel, and less than 7 min walk to beaches and shops. Apartment was modern and clean. Only downside was that there was only one bathroom and no separate toilet. No hand soap or spare toilet paper so be sure to bring those. Fantastic location with views of the river, lighthouse and slight views of the ocean. Large balcony with BBQ also. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our 7th trip to Yamba. Have had three years at The Cove, two years at The Sands and even tried a year at the Angourie Rainforest Resort but the Pilotage (unit 2) is our favourite by far.||Firstly location is perfect. You can walk to all five beaches. You are on the hill so get the breezes. You are facing north so don't get sun directly in the unit which keeps it cool.||Secondly the agents, first national were brilliant. We had a small problem when we arrived (the cleaner hadn't done a great job) - they sent another cleaner the next day. Then a blocked drain and a plumber arrived 15 mins after we called. Excellent service.||The unit consists of one very modern bathroom with laundry and masses of storage. Also two bedrooms again with great storage. The kitchen is terrific and well appointed and the living dining is a good size. The terrace is huge with BBQ and outdoor setting. Undercover parking for one car, ceiling fans in every room and air conditioning.||Will definitely book again.

The Pilotage at Yamba is a great place to stay, clean, comfortable and good sized rooms. The mayor draw back is the entertainment system,so if you are caught with bad weather or just to relax with a movie the Austar package is very limited however the worst part is the age of both TVs they are seriously old enough to vote. Do not show any HD channels on either Austar or free to air and no ability to watch 7plus 9 now etc. Those in charge really need to update those TVs ASAP

The Pilotage is a nice accommodation at the North end of Yamba. A stroll down the hill to town which would be 5 minutes at a leisurely stroll. Linen is supplied as is all the cooking utensils you may need. The beach is also close by.||We did not find the bed over comfortable, but it did the Job. Full Foxtel in the bedroom and limited in the main area. The BBQ gas bottle was empty, but we were lucky that we had family also staying there so we used theirs. ||Nice big bathroom with full laundry facilities.||The car park is very tight, strange seeing that the biggest selling car is now the SUV, probably not at the time the building was built!||Internet is free but you have to stand in the bedroom to get connected, so they need to put in another booster.||On the whole, a very nice stay and we will be back.

We stayed in Unit 2 at the Pilotage and were most impressed. The location was fantastic and the huge verandah had great views to the riverside and the opposite side to the lighthouse. The apartment had secure parking (although pretty tight parking spots) and was modern beautifully presented. The unit had all the mod cons you could wish for and lovely finishing touches e.g artwork, gorgeous linen,games for the kids etc.||You can easily walk to Turners Beach through a track over the headland towards the lighthouse, the unit is close to the town centre and the pub is just around the corner, probably a 1-2 minute walk. The only disadvantage is the walk back to the unit from town, it is quite steep. ||We had a delicious meal at the Golf Club (up there for one of the best meals ever)as well as the Bowling Club had very reasonable yummy meals.||There are some great shops with really nice unusual gifts. I would recommend a drive out to Angourie and especially spend some time at Spookys Beach, totally beautiful. If you are considering a visit to Yamba I would highly recommend staying at this unit and plus we received excellent service from yambaa ccomodation centre. Reasonably priced unit.
