So deliciously good!! The owner is so friendly and lovely! We went back a few times and she remembered us every single time! We bought fudge and it was amazing!! I’ve never had fudge that tasted so creamy and delicious. Lemon meringue and salted caramel was my favourite. My son chose a few other sweets and then we came back one evening to buy a large takeaway container of gelato. We chose three flavours; white chocolate macadamia, hazelnut and crunchy caramel. So tasty and creamy and I’d recommend this place to everyone that goes to Yamba. Definitely a must visit place!

Bought a packet of blue heat Taki chips and they were past the expiration date, stale, and not good. The owner refused to refund our money. We ended up throwing them out

Honestly, I am Italian, and this is the best Gelato I've ever had in Australia and I've been in this country for 15 months. It tastes exactly like the one that my mom makes every summer, it must be the same recipe and the same Italian ingredients! Massive shout out to the lovely owners and little Elena, super friendly people that made me feel very welcomed. 100% authentic Italian experience and 10/10 customer service. It's an obligatory stop if you are in the area of Yamba

In my opinion this place is a must visit if you come to or near Yamba it's a sweet little sweets shop. Old fashion service very helpful and friendly staff. The flavours of fudge were amazing. A little bit pricey but it's worth every dollar if you ask me. Old school quality I love it.

Great little shop. The selection takes me back to the great candies I loved as a kid. Plus there are heaps of new things to try. Girls behind the counter are friendly and helpful. And the gelato is fantastic!

I have to say, I agree with most of the negative comments I've read here - there's certainly a pattern.
It starts with the passive aggressive note stuck to the door, detailing the various rules that shoppers must abide by (I've not seen such a thing before).
Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the clinical feel of the shop, practically everything was covered in plastic barriers and there were multiple notices up reminding people that they must not touch a thing (heaven forbid someone touches a wrapped sweet - the horror!)
The fudge (that we'd come in for) was tucked away at the back of the shop in anonymous plastic containers, not particularly inviting, and you couldn't really see it before buying it.
Every fudge shop I've ever been to before, and I've been to quite a few(!), has offered free samples, but from reading many of the reviews here I can imagine that will never be a possibility, so we were left picking 'blindly' without being able to try it.
It wasn't immediately obvious how much the fudge was, but then we noticed a sign saying $8 per 100g. Not knowing the exact density and dimensions of blocks of fudge (I know, shameful) for us to calculate the weight of a block, we asked how much a block was and were silently directed to the sign we had already read. No real help. Eventually she deigned to tell us that each block was pre cut to 50g pieces. We settled on two different flavours and paid our $8. Actually it was $8.30, which after having been told each block was 50g, and asking for 2 blocks, we were a little surprised to see. It would have been nice to charge the $8 we were expecting. Or, even better, just charge per piece and not by weight, and skip the whole unnecessary calculation step!
We have now tried the fudge, and I'm sorry to report that I don't think it was anything special. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.
Many of the negative reviews for the shop here are just ad hominem attacks, so I will try to be constructive.
1 - if you're running a sweet shop, in a popular holiday destination, expect excitable children, lean into it and be excited with them. Children will touch things - if it's a wrapped sweet, surely this doesn't matter? If it's pick and mix, then of course, have it in sealed containers
2 - if your fudge is your headline attraction, display it more nicely, maybe even offer free samples
3 - charge by the block. If you really are determined to charge by weight, let the customer know that each block is roughly 50g rather than making them guess
4 - be a bit friendlier and nicer perhaps?

Yamba fudge is by far my favourite lollies shop yet. The owner is so incredibly nice and happy and there is a large variety of lollies chocolates and fudges. They also have lots of amazing drinks like Dr pepper. The owner definitely deserves the love and good reviews it gets.

I love this shop. The fudge is divine.

The owners are not intentionally rude just probably had many thefts, and badly behaved children (and parents) over the year. Yes the owner (who I think makes the fudge) and her 80 year old assistant move at a glacial pace and only 6 people are allowed in the shop at a time , but being in this space is like a lesson in behavioural science.

People pay for a “Karen experience ” in Sydney and other locations . This Lolly shop is the authentic real deal although the underlying message is the same ; as in check your entitlement before you enter the door.
