Dined at Karrikin for my birthday in December and couldn't have been happier with the originality and quality of the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious - every dish and every cocktail - and we left extremely satisfied. Beautiful ambience out in the courtyard too. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Insanely good- i still look at photos of our entrees (attached) and drool. Service was warm and casual but attentive, setting absolutely beautiful. Unique and lovely wine list. Not relevant to us but the team were mindful of dietary requirements from booking to seating us at our table. All round amazing meal.

We travelled down to Yamba on a Thursday. Chatting with the locals upon arrival we said that we had a booking for Friday night at Karrikin. The feedback we got was that it’s one of the best in town. Since my modus operandus in live is to live in anticipation, you can imagine that the juices of passion and excitement starting running and taking over. At 5:30 Friday it was finally our time to be lifted and transported into a place like the Elysian Fields. Our booking was not until 18:15 which allowed us plenty of time to sample the cocktail menu. The bartender was not just a pretty face but knows how to shake, stir, strain, chill, demonstrate mixology, communicate and make divine cocktails really. Once seated, we opted for the add ons and a bottle of organic wine. The crusty bread, superb, the raw tuna, to die for, the lime fingers, amazing, the cured carrots, a treat, the potato with mushrooms, delicious, the tuna steak, best seafood ever, the broccoli, even kids would love it, the semifreddo with meringue and an amaro, heaven. When in Yamba, a visit to Karrikin is a must. An unforgettable memory. With gratitude to the staff who were gracious, attentive and made our night. XO

An astonishingly wonderful restaurant in Yamba.

Gorgeous local ingredients, lovely wine list with lots of low intervention and natural wines, wide range of delectable local gins and spirits and cocktails. Fantastic service. Great music and vibes.

Four course set menu - snack, entree, main, dessert. We also ordered the sourdough with macadamia butter. They catered for our fussy 11 yo with fancy chicken nuggets and chips, which was much appreciated. Our two teens devoured all their meals.

A wonderful experience to have in Yamba. Highly recommend. The four course meal was more than sufficient for dinner - I disagree completely with some reviews saying the portion size was small, as the servings were entirely appropriate for a set course menu. We left very satisfied. Lots of happy customers expressing their thanks to the chef and staff as they finished their evening.

You’d be lucky to find this calibre of restaurant in Sydney or Brisbane, and it is a real gem in Yamba.
