We had a wonderful dining experience here. The service was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. The food was delicious—my husband and I ordered the fish of the day (snapper) served with seasonal greens, followed by a dark chocolate dessert. Everything was beyond exceptional.

The location was convenient, and the ambience inside was surprisingly classy for a small town. The place was clean, tidy, and well-presented. Highly recommended!

I also accidentally left my raincoat behind, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I was more than willing to cover the postage, but they kindly returned it to me without asking for any payment. Such thoughtful service truly made our visit memorable. Thank you very much El Ocaso.

We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant as we had missed it last time we were in Yamba so we made a reservation on line.
After being shown to our table we decided to share a stack of entrees and ordered the Jamon, Zucchini Flowers, Rotolo, Eye Fillet Carpaccio and Yamba Prawns (full description with pics).
The food itself was absolutely delicious, with flavour combinations setting our palates soaring. And the care taken plating the dishes also made them visually appealing.
The restaurant itself is well laid out and a lot of thought has clearly gone into it (right down to the dinnerware) which makes it one of the more elevated dining experiences in Yamba.
On this occasion it was clear it had been an overwhelming night for the team and unfortunately the service let them down on our visit. One of our dishes had been missed and when they asked for our desert order we made mention of it. The missing dish was then delivered about 10 minutes later but with no apology given or even so much of a word about what was being placed in front of us.
That said, we would like to go back and try this restaurant again. Hopefully the service will have improved by then because the food here was exceptional!

Davide the Chef/Owner prepares exceptional food 👌 his wife Adrienne mixes amazing cocktails with coffees & Grappa. My personal favourite, the Risotto, didn't let me down, I tasted the Schnapper and it was divine also. Highly recommend this authentic Italian style food with a modern twist. Wine list is also highly rated.

The entrée was delicious. The flavours stayed on our palate quite a while afterwards. Which was just as well as the mains took a long time. The table behind us ordered after us and got their meal before us. Not impressed. My main was a big disappointment on the entrée. My spaghetti was gluggy and very salty. The supposed Yamba prawns were only bits of prawn, none of them were whole. My husband had ordered the greens as a side dish. They made our dishes palatable. The broccolini was cooked well, it made the saltiness of my dish edible. The dessert was ok. Ambience nice. Price on the high side.
The barman was outstanding. He was so friendly and I enjoyed watching the effort he put into making the cocktails.

El Ocaso in Yamba is hands down our favourite spot, and we make sure to visit every time we’re in town. The food is always amazing, especially love the Rotolo’s and the Steak.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and it's an amazing space to relax and watch the sunset. It’s an absolute must-visit if you're in Yamba!

Great spot for delicious Italian food. Chose this restaurant from the reviews and it did not disappoint. Simply delicious. Ordered the octopus, focaccia and prosciutto with figs for entree and Yamba prawn spaghettini, the papadelle and risotto oh my god! Just awesome and my daughter said the kids bolognaise was superb! If you want a delicious meal do yourself a favour!

If you’re in Yamba this is one restaurant you must visit, not the easiest location to find but well worth it. The vibe, excellent food and service was exceptional and that was on a Tuesday evening when a lot of places are not open.

A rare "all fives" from me. Absolutely superlative. Brilliant atmosphere, attentive hosts, and above all mind blowing food.

These people know their way around Mediterranean food! Farinata is an uncommon find even in Italy but El Ocaso used it as the base to an amazing Entré that I'm still salivating over.

A nearly 1kg rib eye was cooked to perfection!!

Would go again any time just to work my way through the menu
