Fantastic Cafe with Delicious Asian Fusion Food & Great Coffee!

I had an amazing experience at this cafe! The foods were absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that made every bite enjoyable. The coffee was also great!

We ordered signature katsu, ebi doria and omurice. Food was very very nice esp doria. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Everyone was smiling! Definitely one of the best Japanese style cafe in Sydney. A must visit.

Cafe kentaro

Drove past cafe Kentaro while looking for a brunch place in our local area.

Leafy Surry hills in its charming spring feel, it was hard to pass.

The cafe was vibrant and full. We were seated very quickly even though there were people In front of us.

While our brunch turned into lunch due to indecision on where to go, they have an all day breakfast and lunch menu.

We were served in a timely manner. A great menu made it hard to decide which means we have to come back. We both decided on the crab omelette. I had an orange juice and Kirsty had a coffee. The food didn’t take long to come out.

The omelette didn’t disappoint. So tasty with the crab being fried softshell crab and the omelette Japanese style wrapping it nicely. The chilli jam very mild. No kick. We polished it off. A little spice would have been nice.

$7:50 for a small glass of juice a bit excessive.

All in all a great experience. We will return to try the other things on the menu.

This is becoming one of my favourite places to eat now. We had the izakaya dinner, the food was great and so is the service. I wish we knew the name of the chef and staff to commend their excellent cooking and service. Our faves were the squid, the wagyu tataki and salmon sashimi carpaccio. The trio of dips was also a lovely surprise. Will definitely come back.

Their izakaya dinner is amazing! Everything was incredible, with beautiful wagyu tataki, delicious grilled squid, and stunningly fresh salmon sashimi carpaccio. The wagyu kleftico is a MUST ORDER - so juicy and tender, and the flavours are insanely good.

Japanese fusion western meets eastern flavors. Staff super friendly and polite. Good sauce's and we'll cooked. The chef is amazing small girl who knows how to cook. Definitely must try for different flavors from the normal cafe food stuff. Really great mix the sour dough is the Aussie portion mixed with japanese flavors on top vegetarian options available too.

Got the mentaiko Omurice which was so yum, mentaiko sauce was delish and really liked the tomato rice too. Egg can be a little bit fluffier / less cooked imo but still good. Have had the black sesame latte and a normal oat cap, both were good! Staff are really sweet, would come back 🙂
