Excellent location, especially for the Southeast Asian people. All the restaurants are just in your foot steps. Very close to the Lakemba train station and city is only 30 minutes train ride.
The room is average but such a friendly staff, especially the duty manager named “ TANISHKA. She is very kind and friendly and helpful. You can ask her anything to make you stay comfortable. 5 on 5 to her and 3/5 on accomodation.

Living locally this is my pub and I love it. Karan and team really know how to look after their guests. The rooms are well appointed and fair in price, especially in today’s climate.

Poor service, management and facilities.
1) Check-in took way longer than it could have been and the manager gave us the wrong invoice.
2) When we entered the room, the bathroom floor was still wet and the room was not cleaned properly.
3) The shower was not working and toilet got clogged. We had to ask the staff several times to fix the issue but they said the plumber would only be in the next morning. When we asked them where we'd shower, they said they didn't know. Eventually, the manager let us shower in a separate room but this was very inconvenient for us. The hotel didn't offer any compensation for this poor experience.

While this is a budget hotel, I'd expect at LEAST functional facilities and staff who know what they're doing.

My son is backpacking Australia and went over to Sydney to watch Women’s World Cup final. When he arrived at the hotel, which he’d booked for 3 nights, he was told he hadn’t got a room that night and would have to find alternative accommodation but would only charge for 2 nights, although they had already charged for 3 nights! He asked if they could help him as he didn’t know Sydney, he was told no. I then asked him to see if they would fully refund him and that me & his dad would find accommodation for him over there, he was told yes they would provide a full refund. We managed to find him alternative accommodation which was a struggle as it was 9pm over there but managed it. We still haven’t received the refund they have scammed him out of his money. We have tried to contact them but they are ignoring all emails!

Room wasn't cleaned. Dirty bed sheets. Had to ask multiple times for toilet paper, the cleaner wouldn't give me any as she "didn't have enough" and then rolled her eyes at me when I stated the room needs toilet paper after giving me a roll.

I called and booked the hotel, then they told me that they can give me $50 discount. However, when I came, they did not not gave me the discount and charged me the full amount. This is a scam.

Very poor service. No lift to the room, only staircase access. No iron or kettle in the room.
