Nice relaxed atmosphere in Lismore. We got the Chai latte, mixed Berry smoothie and carrot cake.

Carrot cake has a good balance of cream, flavour and walnut served with icing sugar on side for decoration.

Chai latte was cold and not too sweet. Mixed Berry smoothie mixed well.

If you’re in Lismore and you don’t come to dark horse espresso, why even come to Lismore!!

This is the place you need to visit for breakfast! The tables are spread out across the street, giving Justin enough space to have a private conversation and enjoy your breakfast. The food came fast as did the coffee which was beautifully served by friendly smile.

Milkshakes, coffees and drinks were all as exactly as they should be!

Let’s talk about the oversized portions of the beautiful delicious breakfast that arrived from The chilli beans through to The, corn fritters, or the delicious pastry you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu it would seem.

Thanks for making our first breakfast in Lismore a really enjoyable experience.

This is a wonderful rustic, organic restaurant. The food was light and wholesome with plenty of flavour. The staff and service were great - as was the coffee! We were so happy to see a small business doing so well post floods. Would highly recommend.

Honestly not sure why I keep coming back to this place. I want to like it so much, atmosphere is great. But, like other customers here in the reviews, I've also had burnt waffles, flavorless fritters, and just generally met with grumpy "can't be bothered" staff. The food is average at best... bland, flavorless and inconsistent. And frankly I'm just sick and tired of paying over the top boutique prices for average food and nothing but short grumpy attitude from the young staff. Seems to be all too common at these sorts of cafes these days.

Edit: After sending detailed feedback about my experiences to Brandon at his request, I got zero reply. After a week without a reply I sent a follow up email just to make sure he had recieved the email. A full week after this follow up I finally recieved the very generic one sentence response... "Yes thank you for sending that through, all feedback is always appreciated.". Gives me the impression they aren't as keen on actioning feedback as they are to responding to negative reviews on Google in an attempt to make it appear as though they give a damn.

Second time here. I had a waffle stack which I thought looked like half a sandwich and was maybe a bit small. I was wrong. This thing was soooo tasty and rich I could barely finish it. So full, so meaty, so cheesy, so bacon-y.
