Elsie's is the newest cafe in Glenbrook and is located where the restaurant Star of India used to be situated.

Elsie's has an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch options. Elsie's also sells a range of Tuga Pastries, cakes such as honey cake and pandan cake and muffins.

For the food we ordered the Hotcakes which contained Banana, Honeycomb Ice-Cream and Maple Syrup and a side of bacon and hashbrowns, apple and currant toast with butter and the kids hotcakes. For the drinks we ordered the house made hot chocolate and long black.

The hotcakes tasted so delicious and not too sweet, the hotcakes were golden brown, fluffy and cooked perfectly. The side of bacon and crispy hash brown was so good. Hubs said the apple and currant toast was yummy. My son loved his kids hotcakes. The hotcakes were one of the best hotcakes that I've ever eaten.

The house made hot chocolate was chocolatey and frothed to perfection. The hot chocolate is made with 55% Callebaut Belgian Dark Chocolate. Hubs loved the long black coffee.

Overall we loved Elsie's, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. Elsie's is my new favourite cafe in Glenbrook.

The staff here are fabulous! So attentive and polite. I really enjoyed my sit in breakfast (eaten in once) but I’m now a regular for a takeaway coffee. Looking forward to being able to eat in again soon.

Pulled in for a late lunch on the weekend and very glad we did. Friendly staff, great coffee and a menu full of delicious meals that made deciding on something quite difficult.

Meals were as good as we hoped they would be… and served on beautiful ceramics. Thanks team!

First time visiting this Cafe. My friend and I ordered and on the advice of the waitress, ordered the shared option with a side of chips as seen in the attached photo. The waitress (Alison) was very friendly and helpful. I would be pleased if Alison received recognition for her outstanding service.

PHENOMENAL. Service is outstanding. The design and interiors are stunning. Coffee amd Food is next level. It is exactly what Glenbrook needed. Each dish is top quality, which you would expect from such experienced chefs and business owners, Tim and Noreen. Well done Elsie's. What a spot. (To those complaining about parking, perhaps have never been to Glenbrook and no business in Glenbrook has reserved parking. It is a busy place but I have always found plenty of parking spots up the road near the Anglican church. I have never had any trouble!)

Second visit here. First visit was for coffee and cake ( Russian honey cake was lovely!!)

Food nice but a bit expensive for what you get. I had the vegan bowl which was lovely with some great flavours. Would get again as a take away. Beef burger and chips was rather small for the $25 price tag.
Coffee, needs to pick up game to compete with others in glenbrook.
Dining area is a little loud which I think is due to the hard surfaces everywhere.

Easily the best cafe for food in Glenbrook. Very impressed by the vegan bowl, burger, and chicken salad! Their chips are so fresh and crunchy too! Super happy to have high quality local options to choose from 🙂

Thought we would give Elsie's a visit. Busy place at 10am, full of people. We were basically just wanting coffee and a snack. The noise level was so high it was hard to hold a conversation. You would have thought some provision would have been made to reduce noise? Modern design and all. Seems not the case. So went to pay....problem splitting the bill plus a card surcharge. Least there was a sign up stating surcharge applied. The menu showed mug of coffee at $5.00. By the time I got to pay it was $6.00.
Once bitten twice shy.
