Wonderful hidden gem near the train station. The Turkish eggs are excellent! They had run out of mushrooms for the dish, but replaced it with roasted tomato and a free hash brown on the side! Coffee is delicious and the workers there are very kind/helpful. Definitely making Platform T8 a regular breakfast destination for my partner and I.

Place found at the other side of Penrith station. I’d say a popular local cafe. I found my omelette was good, my partner’s burger was soo bland on the other hand. He used my whole packet of salt but barely helped. The sauce for the chips was also very minimal, it wasn’t enough for the whole chips.

Really nice cafe with a lovely staff. The coffee quality is always consistent and I love the mini cookie that's handed out with it. They have a good breakfast menu. We have tired shakshuka, the avo and Egyptian dukkah and banana/raspberry breads which were really delicious. Highly recommend this cafe.

Situated just outside Penrith train station, T8 has quality coffee and takeaway breakfast options ready for busy morning commuters.
There's indoor and outside seating for customers who have time to hang around. I enjoyed an alfresco Friday breakfast with a colleague before work at T8 in Oct 2022. I chose the crispy French toast with ice cream and was not disappointed! Be warned, the French toast is HUGE and the ice cream is generous, arrive hungry or maybe share this delicious option?! The Avocado Smash was well proportioned for one and the coffee was amazing. If possible, bring your dog, because not only was the service wonderful, they sell doggie treats too! And all the dogs are greeted with a smile and a pat from staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my T8 experience and can't wait to go again!

When one thinks of the platonic ideal of what a cafe should be, one tends to think of a lively place to meet friends and enjoy great coffee, and for this reason I simply cannot recommend platform T8 highly enough.

To begin with, each and every staff member is so effortlessly and utterly charming. Their warmth and authenticity is a highlight of my mornings and I feel so genuinely seen and welcomed by them each and every day.

The genuine and organic atmosphere they have cultivated has attracted a vast array of local characters that make my morning coffee run a delightful, and often eccentric experience. The staff and my fellow patrons feel so comfortable here, and this provides an opportunity to forge genuine connections and discuss our lives in a way that is becoming increasingly scarce in these troubled times.

One could certainly comment on the circus-like qualities of this atmosphere, and they would be absolutely correct. People love the circus. A coffee can be procured at every corner of every town, but people come here because the attitude of the staff and the social milieu they encourage is joyful.

I wish I could give them more stars.

Great food, the service was good, the vibes could be a bit better, but it was a drizzly morning when we came in. Highly recommend the Turkish Eggs!
