Stayed here back in 2015, with my wife and border collie. Check in was easy with the friendly host Chuck.
Building was rustic and quaint. It housed all the facilities were needed, especially a secure area to leave our dog while we went touring. Chuck kept an eye on our dog while we were away, as he was working from his shed a couple of hundred meters away.
While the accommodation is close to the hosts house and workshop, it is fenced, defining its own area and over the three days spent there we did not see or hear anyone unless we went looking for them.
Even though it was on the Highway, it was peaceful at night, as I spent quite some time in the dark, taking in the clear starry night sky.
If you are after rustic, quaint old school accommodation then I suggest you give it a go.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights early NOV. 23. On arrival was met with an abrut your early, not a good start. Once inside it was a case of find a surface and fill it up there was so much stuff everywhere.THE BED WAS A JOKE. If your above average height this bed will be to small for you. First night slept sitting up on the lounge.Next morning put all the blankets i could find on top of the mattress and slept on top.Not good but a little better. For the price of this cabin better value and accommodation could be found elsewhere.NOT SO QUAINT!!!

Too close to the Highway. Truck noise 24 Hrs a day. No privacy as the Cottage is too close to Owners house. They have a workshop near the Cottage so vehicles, noise & loud music at all hours. No Internet. Small, uncomfortable bed is the worst I have ever slept on. This is a brutally honest review. Take it or leave it. No value for money here. Stay in Broken Hill. Repeat: it’s not quaint, it’s horrible! Book elsewhere! UPDATE: Despite the deluded ‘Owners’ insane claim, I most definitely DID stay there. I repeat, do yourself a favour. Find somewhere else!
