Tarrawingee Holiday Units - Broken Hill, New South Wales

My colleagues and I booked a number of the 2 bedroom units while visiting Broken Hill for work in March. The Units were clean and had a lot of space, which made it feel homely. There were two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. There was a third bedroom with two single beds. ||The units are all separate to each other and have a brick carport attached. It felt private and secure. There is a lovely pool area and a BBQ in the centre of all of the units.||The kitchen is modern and fresh with a full size fridge. There is laundry facilities as well. I will definitely be staying here when I visit Broken Hill in the future. ||To top it off, the staff were lovely.

Excellent facilities with everything you need for a long or short stay. Very fresh and clean finishes from what looks like a recent reno, though mirror and shower screen could do with a refresh.|Would highly recommend to everone as you have plenty of room and close to town and shopping centres

We stayed 11 nights - rates are very reasonable and comparible to other self-contained units in Broken Hill. They are within walking distance of both major supermarkets and plaza shopping centres.||||We noticed that the kitchen, bedrooms and lounge rooms have just been renovated. The kitchen is a dream to cook in, new stove-top hob and oven. With freshly painted walls and new flooring the units are modern and an enjoyable place to stay. There is also new split system air conditioning, which we found very efficient in keeping us cool in the mid 30 degrees Celsius we had during our stay. The units are spotlessly clean and a credit to the cleaning staff.||||Management are friendly and helpful. The opening hours of office are also reasonable and in an emergency, there is a contact mobile number you can ring. We didn't have any problems, so we didn't need to use this.||||Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Tarrawingee Holiday units. We would highly recommend it to visitors wanting a lovely place to stay while in Broken Hil.

Host was very unwelcoming and service was poor. The room was nice and comfortable. I complained on the first day of my stay that there was no internet and spent about 10 days there until which the problem was never fixed. When I requested for internet Sue said she could monitor what I was doing which was an invasion of my privacy. The solution to the problem as recommended by the host was to use my own internet (as though I didnt know that)!

Fantastic accommodation

Unit 9. Arriving with my 10yr old son for 2 weeks. Good location in town, easy walk to shops and take-away food. Pub just down the road.
Accommodation is very clean.  The beds all appear to be new ( or nearly). They are quite comfortable.
Best part is the sheets, they are soooo nice. White, crispy and smelling fresh. Quilts are cosy and warm. This 2br accommodation unit has everything I needed for a 2 week stay with a child.
Automatic washing machine,  clothes line, pegs, oven, induction Cooktop, pots/pans cutlery and crockery, fully fitted out kitchen, all the essentials are here.
The bathroom is quite roomy and shower has lots of pressure and heat. Separate toilet.
Lots of cupboard space with extra linen, bedrooms also have huge built in cupboards for clothing, as well as full size mirror.
The swimming pool is in a great spot on the grounds with shade, BBQ and seating.
It's clean and ready for swimmers.
My lounge area has lots of room, a 2 and 3 seater lounge, very comfy.
Big screen TV and DVD player is easy to use and great for staying in for the evening.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay, I have recommended to fellow colleagues and friends to stay here. A friendly wallaby came to visit us and sun himself on the rocks one morning, right outside our dining room!

Clean and good quality. As described on the website. Friendly staff, Quiet and in a great location. We have stayed at least six time over the past 25 years. Fully self contained and an excellent and clean BBQ. Great value for money.

Great accommodation in Broken Hill. Fully self contained unit with 2 bedrooms; great if you are going there with a mate and you or him most probably snore. We stayed there in January 2017 for $125/night; that is $62.50 each for very good accommodation and the owners are very personable and good to deal with. Kitchen; microwave,washing machine,dishes cooking utensils and cutlery all provided plus undercover parking right next to your unit.

Clean 2 bedroom unit with kitchen facilities and lounge area. Quiet location that is very close to the shopping centres of Broken Hill and a short drive to the Main Street/ business district.||I think it would be difficult to find something better in BH for same money! 👍||||The weather was fabulous so didn't have to crank up the evaporative a/c so unsure how it would cope through the summer if you had to endure a few days of +40C temps. Then you might wish to find a retreat with refrigerative a/c!
