Bed was comfortable and very much appreciated after driving 36hrs!
Pet friendly room so our puppy was able to stay with us.
Shower had awesome pressure!
Great place to stay, thanks for a restful night and so quiet too winning.

First time we have stayed at the Desert Sands and we were very impressed. Rooms have everything you need, and so clean. They don’t have that strong cleaning odour most Motels have! The bed was very comfortable and most Motels forget that a good bed should be a priority. The only thing I could fault was the older style microwave. Overall I would most definitely use this Motel again.

Excellent price point and straightforward accommodation. The bed was comfy. The air con was a bit worn out and the room could do with a refurbishment. Staff helpful and friendly. The pool area is very tired and could do with some love. Only 1 functional sun lounger, no shade, no greenery, disused shade sails which would be awesome if in use!

Close to town, excellent shower even though hot water took a while to come through, good bathroom, hair dryer, clean, comfortable. All was good. If we go to broken Hill again, we will definitely be staying here. Owners were friendly. Nice walk into town.

Website photos might updating to reflect conditions, Two seperate bookings but booking mishap apparently blamed by Booking.com or similar? Seemed strange considering we’d double checked the bookings several hours before arrival and bookings were confirmed. Had to change to a family room and share instead. Carpet thread bear in places, furniture very tired, pealing fabric on chairs, wobbly leg on another chair, broken draw for example. Looked like scratching marks from dog on back of the door. Pillows had hairs on them and appeared slightly stained. Not fresh clean and crisp. Heard a dog barking from 3am to 5am so decided to leave early. Place could do with a deep clean, paint and refurbishment. I’d say no to pets. Think pets had been in the room we stayed. Location handy.

Situated close to the Main Street of Broken Hill so great location. The rooms are a little outdated but was clean, even though when we first got there, there was an empty coke bottle on the bed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. You really do get what you pay for and it was cheap to stay.

We paid $150 for a king sized bed which was said to have a most comfortable pillow top. This was actually the hardest bed I’ve encountered and I had to check the top was really there!. We then found that hot water was non existent both in the evening and in the morning and the toilet leaked on the floor each flush! Went to a cheaper hotel next night and had a fabulous nights sleep and hot shower..

Highly recommend room out room was clean and our sleep was comfortable. Our host went above and beyond helping us with things to make our continuing holiday easier going forward. 10 out of 10. Thankyou for our day/nights stay
