Stayed here for 2 nights, was great both nights. Lady on reception lovely and welcoming, very helpful. Rooms very basic but comfy & clean bed. Showers & toilets clean and hot water with good pressure. Shared kitchen with fridges, microwave, hobs, good for cooking up a meal. Not sure what the bad reviews are about, it’s a budget motel and for the price it’s perfect!

I think my title basically sums up the whole scene at the Tourist Lodge? What I believe was the old backpackers is today an extremely well-run place to stay in Broken Hill for a great price! Never saw a staff member but saw the results of their work from clean rooms to the cleanest communal bathrooms I've ever stayed at! And that is no small thing when you are road tripping. The text messages with entry codes and follow ups to check we had got in after office hours was a good plus. Out of the Ordinary have other venues and I will definitely be looking at them for future stays, 5 stars in my humble!

I spent one night at the Broken Hill Tourist Lodge on my way to Adelaide, and it was a great place to rest. The room was spotless, and the shower was superb—so relaxing after a day on the road. The staff were warm and hospitable, making me feel right at home. It’s a wonderful spot for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay in Broken Hill.

Stayed at this accommodation and it was perfect, we had a double studio with ensuite. very clean, cool with aircon, quiet, great staff all very friendly, free laundromat was great, Parking was outside the lodge but safe. will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed in Unit 1 which was located at the end of the hall which was good. Pretty quiet. Staff very friendly and easy to get into the place and out. Great communication.|2 bedroom unit with a window each, queen size beds. One bedroom had an aircon unit, bed side table and lamp which was great. |Living area and TV was excellent. Updated kitchen superb with stove top.|Air con unit in living area is noisy (sounds like a truck) but you just turn it off when you go to bed and all good. |The first morning the alarm in the building went off around 6am which was VERY loud. Someone's smoke detector went off. My mum went out to get someone. Took about 10mins for the alarm to go off. Thankfully we had to get up early anyway haha |Bathroom updated with washing machine & dryer. Shower nice but would be nice to have some kind of shower curtain. |Overall we just have to be thankful we have showers, air con/heater, nice bed and a roof over our heads! A lovely motel 🙂

The towels were disgraceful, the rooms smelled, after 30 mins both myself wife said no way and left, the shower for the ladies looked if they haven’t been cleaned for days with hair and lint on the floors, not to return.

During my stay, the check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Although the washing machine dryer was out of order, a staff member demonstrated a workaround, which was a valuable lesson in understanding the electrical aspects of such appliances.

I don't understand why the ratings are low. The reception melisa was kinder than anyone else and delicate enough to contact me before checking in. The room was old, but it was clean, and it is hard to find quality at this price. The pool was prepared, the water in the shower came out well, and the public kitchen refrigerator was ample. It feels like a well-managed backpacker. It's not a fancy luxury hotel, but it's the best accommodation you can enjoy for 50 dollars per night
