I went for lunch today to check out the restaurant since the big refurbishment was done.
The service from the bar and wait staff was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. However, the time it took for us to receive our meals was too long, considering the hotel wasn't busy.
Our order consisted of 2 x Chicken Schnitzels and 1 x Eggplant Parmigiana, all with chips and salad. Our Schnitzels were lovely, well-cooked and tender, but my friend said her Eggplant was chewy.
The Schnitzels did not need the sea salt flakes sprinkled on top as a garnish because the crumb and sides were salty enough.
The chips were lovely too, crispy and well seasoned. But the most disappointing thing was the salad... it was woeful! It was a few varieties of leaves with some dill tossed through. No tomato, no onion, no carrot shavings, no cucumber and the dressing was way too overpowering.
If it's the cost of living that prevents The Del from serving up a better salad, put the prices up a couple of $$... I'd much pay a little more and be satisfied than be disappointed and never come back.

I recently visited The Del and was blown away by their incredible specials and prices, especially on Steak Night Wednesday! The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.
There was a minor hiccup with my order, but it was resolved by Sam, her customer service was outstanding, and I couldn't have asked for a better response. The customer service for all the staff were fantastic also.
The renovations they completed in December have truly transformed the place. It's now much cleaner and has a lovely, upscale feel.
This place is definitely a must-visit for a fantastic night out. Highly recommend!"
Also, turns out they have all. You can eat pizza on Thursday night and it's woodfire!!

We went for a Bottomless Brunch as a group of 4. Everything was amazing! The food was delicious and beautifully served. The service was fantastic with the different dishes served at a nice pace. The staff refilled glasses quickly. There was a musician playing in the main bar area and his music was a nice accompaniment to our meal. We had a lovely afternoon.

Went to dinner with my work colleagues for steak and bottomless fries night. It was fantastic, steak was cooked perfectly, fries were amazing. Cost was very fair at $22.
Special mention to Tara who looked after us, she went above and beyond. Food, customer service, atmosphere 5/5

Awsome staff, super friendly that recommended the steak with bottomless fries on Wednesday night. Steak was cooked perfectly, chips was awsome as well. If I wasn't on a diet I would had 5 servings, but I had to stop my myself after 2 servings.

So impressed with this place. Was visiting Newcastle for the weekend for a friends birthday and we had bottomless brunch. It was so so good, such good value for money, and service was amazing. I was kind of skeptical of bottomless these days, but would 1000% come back again and recommend

I was having a good time at The Delaney until I went to cash out my winnings. I put $50 into the pokies, ended up with $170, and when I went to collect my money, one of the $50 notes that came out of the machine was ripped. No big deal, right? Apparently, it was to the staff.

I brought it to a staff member, who called the manager. Instead of handling it professionally, the manager checked the CCTV footage and immediately shut me down, insisting that all notes dispensed were intact. Any attempt to explain the situation was met with complete dismissal. She outright accused me of bringing in a “dodgy note” and told me to “spend my dodgy note at the dodgy pubs.” Seriously?

Even though both parts of the note—the main part and the ripped-off corner—came directly from their machine, they refused to acknowledge any possibility that their equipment could have made a mistake. The manager even had the audacity to say, “I’ve worked in the industry for 10 years—I have never seen a ripped note.” As if that somehow proves their machine is infallible. Instead of treating a regular customer with basic respect, they immediately assumed I was trying to scam them. Absolute joke.
