I've been here a couple of times now and I'd keep coming back. All the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely fantastic and the reason I'd keep coming back for more, best steak I've ever had! Dessert was pretty damn good too, so I'd suggest saving room! The drinks menu is well rounded and the atmosphere is lush. Its an all around good vibe and I have no doubt I'll be a regular! Cannot recommend enough 👍

We came in for a quick lunch Good Friday. Service and food top notch. Scotch fillet with mushroom gravy excellent. The gravy didn't at all taste like the usual packet mix. Wife loved the barramundi special. Can't wait to come back, worth the drive from Sydney.

The steak was so good! I got a medium rare eye fillet and it was amazing! I will say though, it was a bit more medium, but still delicious! The ambience was really nice as well, and the staff were super happy to accommodate us on a Saturday night without a booking, so that was great!

Netty. Was. Here. Undisputedly the best place to get steaks in Newcastle. High quality marble scores, a variety of cuts, 100% Australian sourced beef.

I had the sirloin as recommended by the chef as the preferred cut to cook medium rare. It was, like all the times I’ve eaten here before; PERFECT!

Beautiful table settings both indoors and outdoors. Always a popular spot so I do recommend making bookings. Or be like me and hook in as soon as the kitchen opens.

Came for lunch on a random Thursday. Dining room was just over half full.

Definitely a meat centric menu but still solid options for vegetarians/ pescatarians.

Winter menu featured a few pumpkin based items - highly recommend the tandoori pumpkin pizza.

The sweetest lady was running front of house solo today. She was so on top of things! Brought us some house made tomato based sweet chili sauce… that was well worth it.

For the cost of a night's stay, it was worth it, the food was absolutely exceptional, I had the Lamb Cutlets which were cooked beautifully, and the Mash was just perfect, my other half had one of the steaks, and it looked absolutely mouthwatering, he enjoyed it thoroughly! The staff were awesome, very outgoing, but laid back at the same time, could see how much they worked as a team, and had fun doing it. The room was pretty cool, awesome comfortable King Sized bed! Only complaints would be that they didn't have any ensuites, or kitchenettes, the bathrooms and kitchen were down the hall de-tatched from the rooms, needing to pee more than once during the night after a few bevvys was a bit of a sport, lol. And no balcony, I understand it's a smoke free place, but also making it smoker friendly would have scored it a 10 outta 10 from us. Overall, great area, awesome music, and people. Fantastic food. Was a lovely place to spend my birthday, so we're giving it an 8 out of 10.

My partner and I have been to a couple of the beer events that the Burwood has hosted. The events were fantastic. The pub itself is incredibly beautiful and sophisticated whilst also encapsulating a very cozy and relaxing vibe. Tony and Sandra are extremely friendly and inviting. I recommend the Burwood Inn very highly to all!

Such a beautiful venue! We had my daughters christening lunch here- a group of around 20 people. They kindly allocated us the beautiful courtyard all to our selves. Everyone commented on how nice the courtyard was and also how delicious the food and drinks were. The service was great also! So glad we chose to have our event here 🙂
