This was easy to find, the room is basic but had what was needed. The communication from the off site staff was fantastic. It's all number locked and they gave you details the day you were due to arrive. Good stop over place.

Unlike the reviews, this place is a home away from home. If you love the idea of being able to have your own specific meals while on a trip, then this place is for you. I am glad I stayed here despite the bad reviews.

A stranger in a strange town wanting to check my bags in early and was told I could so I booked - then to be told when I get there after a long flight that I’m unable to - Sorry you can’t - wasn’t happy as that ment walking around new castle with 2 suitcase -
there were crack heads hanging around the door way - so I wasn’t hanging around- after trying to cancel I was told I still have to pay as it’s to late to cancel - I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE YO ANYONE AS I FEEL

I visited the Alloggio hotel on King Street, Newcastle, Australia, and I'd like to thank the whole staff.

Before I booked Alloggio, I stayed in 3 other hotels, but Alloggio gave me the perfect conditions to remain there almost 3 months.

1. Excellent location, close to the ocean baths, stores, nice restaurants, transport.

2. The rooms are spacious, have a decent insulation against noise from the street, air conditioners and ceiling fans, nets against insects on the windows as well. Rooms had also their own microwaves, big refrigerators, sinks and plots to prepare some food. TVs with YouTube, Netflix & chill. Sufficiently large desks that allowed me to work peacefully.

3. There's a washing & drying service for 4AUD each, was affordable enough to me.

4. Accessible and large common spaces - nice kitchen with ovens, frying pans, dishwasher, etc., and a vending machine for "emergencies" (many Newcastle stores generally close before 9 pm, and the vending machine turned out quite useful on several occasions) 🙂

5. Careful and respectful housekeepers, my room was well maintained during my whole stay. Responsive 24/7 call center, any guest concerns or questions were promptly addressed by the staff. Another guest asked me to help them with an emergency around 3-4 am, by contacting the call center. And the call center responded immediately, addressing their situation.

6. Gates and rooms were opened with individual passcodes, there are firealarms inside the rooms, felt safe there.

Would definitely recommend Alloggio to my friends and would stay there again in the future 🙂❤️

This place feels like a run down building converted into a makeshift hotel. There were cockroaches on the bedding, also in the bathroom. Carpets filthy. Bathroom is in a need of a good renovation. Its hard to believe it managed to get 3 stars. Everything is so old and the cupboards are busy deteriorating. I couldn't sleep, it felt so gross. I would rather pay a little more and stay elsewhere.

Abit hesitant staying here after reading some reviews but expectations were exceeded for sure. No problems regarding cleanliness, was a great location with a large communal kitchen which was a bonus

The only good was the convenient location. The room was terrible, black mould in multiple places throughout the bathroom, room smelt terrible likely due to the mould and my friend had difficulty breathing, heater wouldn't work so was freezing in the room after having the window open to try and air it out. Bed was hard and uncomfortable also. Have tried to contact the property to address the issues with this place twice with no responses. Not worth the risk to your health staying here.

i wanted to share my recent experience staying at your accommodation. there were some notable positives about the hotel. its location is perfect, right in the heart of everything, making it very convenient for exploring the city. additionally, the soundproof walls did an excellent job of drowning out the noise from the busy road outside, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom and shower were modern and clean. however, there were several drawbacks that impacted our overall experience. the room itself was very small, as was the bed, which made it difficult to get comfortable. the tv was also tiny and had a very limited selection of channels, which was disappointing. it felt like the price you pay is more for the prime location rather than the quality of the room. i'd recommend staying here if you are looking for a short stay and want to be in the centre of the city. the convenience of the location and the decent amenities like soundproofing and air conditioning are the highlights.
