A reliable stop for well made coffee. The folks here know what it takes to make good coffee and they don't let you down. Open every day of the week, don't pass by the Stagg.

Always went here for their amazing toasties and the best egg and bacon in hobart. But unfortunately now with change of ownership they've changed their whole menu! Still great staff and great coffee, but now we can't get our much loved toasties and not to mention their banana bread. 🥹

I unfortunately had a very bad service experience. I ordered 2 coffees (I was given to-go cups even though I was sitting down, but I didn't mind that). I sat down at the table which had the previous customers' dishes, but when I asked the staff if they could clear the table they told me "we aren't doing that for takeaway customers".

Furthermore, the bench had cigarette butts and a dirty needle in between the slats which is quite frankly disgusting. I understand that the benches on the street may technically belong to the city, but this cafe's clients are regularly using the tables and leaving their dishes on it - Stagg has a duty to keep these tables and benches clean.

Not impressed. The only upside is that the coffee was excellent, which is why I'm giving 2 stars.

Arrived in the early morning for a pick-me-up, hands down the best iced coffee I've ever had.

It came in a chilled bottle, and the milk and sugar levels were absolutely perfect. I will definitely be back.

Amazing cafe!!! Great sandwiches, coffee, matcha and muffins. We got a range on the sandwiches and the chicky babe was by far a favourite and we had little notes written on our sandwiches which was so cute. The staff were so lovely and even with a big order for us hikers it was quick service! Thank you so much for keeping us fueled up!

My favourite place for a coffee in the morning before work. You can order ahead with the Skip app. The coffee is awesome and their toasted sandwiches are to die for. The staff are incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. If there's ever a cafe that deserves their 5-star rating, this is it.
