Dear Sean and Rosemary.
We have not met you in person but we were very lucky to be invited to stay for two nights in your beautiful lodge, a piece of paradise.
We are very grateful for your generosity and hospitality. We loved the history of your place, the beautiful forrest with the majestic trees, the stillness and serenity, the clean and very comfortable room and best shower experience ever. All this on a property which is off the grid. You have created something truly special. We remember our short visit there fondly.

We had two wonderful nights at Forest Walks Lodge. Sean and Rosemary are warm and generous hosts who welcomed us into their beautiful eco-lodge B&B on the edge of the Tasmanian wilderness Forest. Sean is an amazing cook (the food was simply delicious - sourced from their garden and local farms). Sean is also a renowned expert on the Tasmanian Forest ecosystem and the ongoing battle to protect the forest from human exploitation. We took a guided Forest walk with Sean which was a fascinating introduction into this special place.

We recently stayed at the Forest Walks Lodge for a week and it is a great location for a number of reasons. Its rural location is perfect for detoxing from digital life. Rosemary and Sean are great hosts. The meals are excellent especially dinners with all locally sourced ingredients. They have created one of the first ecologically / sustainable lodges before that was even a consideration, with passive heating and cooling, sustainable energy sources and local food. It is also a great central location to connect to the Tasting Trails of Tasmania. Wallabies, superb fairy wrens, sheep and other wildlife will be right outside your bedroom door.

We Stayed at the lodge for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The lodge was cosy and very comfortable as was our lovely room. We did the guided walk with Sean and learned so much about the world heritage forest. Sean and Rosemary worked very hard for many years and still are to protect this wonderful environment. The included breakfast was amazing . Do yourself a favour and get Sean to cook you a delicious 3 course meal. Sean and Rosemary a wonderful hosts. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel stay away but if you are looking for a very special unique experience spend a few days . We loved it !!!!

What an amazing experience at Forest Walks Lodge!!
Sean and Rosemary are fabulous hosts with a world of knowledge and experience living in harmony with nature and a real care for the earth.
The accommodation is comfortable and peaceful, I could have stayed a week!
Sean’s cooking was 5 stars using local, top quality produce!!
Then there was the Forest walk, another special experience into World Heritage Forest. Sean captivated us with his knowledge of this area and the forest.

When I walked into Sean and Rosemary's lodge, my first impression was that it was a good place to relax! The lounge is beautiful and peaceful with large windows looking out on a gorgeous valley and hills beyond. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and all look out onto that same view. Wombats and echnidas grazed nonchalantly on the grass as we walked by. Sean's dinners were absolutely delicious as were the breakfasts - and one day, lunch, after we came back from our forest walk. As I told Sean, that walk blew me away. Learning about the complexity, variety and age range of the flora was fascinating, and the forest is alive with the sound of birdsong and just a beautiful and peaceful place to walk. Sean and Rosemary are great company and from them we learned so much about the history of the area and ways in which they and others have worked to preserve it. Of all of the lodges and inns we stayed at on our journey through Tassie, this lodge, in the midst of such beauty, was an experience I would repeat in a heartbeat.

We stayed one night and it was a most peaceful and relaxing experience. The location is beautiful, set in a green valley with views of the western tiers. Sean and Rosemary are friendly and make you feel very welcome. We chose to eat dinner at the lodge and the food was exceptional - tempura fish and vegetables, sourced from the garden. Breakfast was also exceptional - I have never eaten duck eggs before and they were delicious. Also, Sean makes a mean hot chocolate. ||Our room was lovely and comfortable and we slept very well in the peace and quiet. It was a really relaxing stay, with good company and I would definitely return.
