What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We were in the Manor room and it was perfect.|Everything was of very high standard and the bed was so comfortable.|Breakfast for both days was in the fridge including a small loaf of homemade sourdough which was delicious along with the homemade muesli , fresh milk, yogurt and orange juice.|It was so quiet and peaceful with lovely gardens and a couple of minutes walk into town plus an easy 45min drive to Cradle Mountain.

Wow. So peaceful and everything you want and need. Finally some accommodation that make you feel like a guest by providing food, drinks and comfort at no extra cost. I have never left a review before but I feel I should because it was so nice. Thank you and I’ll see you next time.

Absolutely gorgeous gem in Sheffield. One of the nicest places we've stayed at in tassie! The owner is a wonderful and kind host who is very helpful and always up for a fun chat. The breakfast provided was lovely, accommodating a vegan diet was no problem. The rooms are gorgeous and luxurious, one simply melts into the king bed. The most beautiful part of all are the two kitties, Coco and Bobbie, who are very happy to have guests to cuddle them!

We've had numerous trips to Tassie and always stay in B & B's. Surprisingly, Tanglewood doesn't appear to be publicised like some other venues, nor is it reviewed frequently! However, what a find for those who love a traditional style B & B. This beautiful home has a lifetime of elegant treasures lovingly collected by its owner, during his years of travelling the world. If you appreciate a garden you are sure to find something here that will also delight you. Tanglewood's host, Gordon, certainly knows how to look after all possible wants and needs of his guests and what a cook - he serves a delightful breakfast that will keep you going all day. Day 1 we were treated to Eggs Benedict and Day 2 scarmbled eggs with smoked salmon. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh throughout the house. Gordon certainly has an eye for style. An interesting gentleman who has some great life experiences. There is no pressure, no offensive signs or lists of rules. You are treated as a responsible adult who knows how to respect someone's else home. Bed was superb, room dark, towels in bathroom large, soft and replaced daily. Plenty of hot water and relaxed environment.

We travelled up from Hobart for a festival and stayed at Sheree's beautiful home. Beautifully presented, your room has an ensuite and is very warm and comfortable with views over the magnificent gardens they are bringing back to life. The room had a smart TV, electric blanket, home made biscuits, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridge and complimentary sherry. Sheree was a great host - attentive but happy to give you your space and she cooked us a beautiful breakfast the next morning. I believe she is doing up a second room and I strongly recommend Tanglewood - it's a home away from home.

Gordon’s B&B in the mural town of Sheffield was a great find and proved the best value accommodation during our 2 weeks in Tasmania. Sheffield is an easy 25-30min drive from Devonport and an ideal place to spend either a first or last night in Tasmania. It is an excellent base to explore the surrounding Kentish district and provides easy access to Cradle Mountain and the northwest coast. ||Set in a large, beautifully restored federation house with heritage listing, the ambience is delightfully quirky and eccentric with an eclectic collection of interesting art and knickknacks from all over the world. Our room was quiet, really comfy and had a large ensuite bathroom. We had a really good night’s sleep! ||The Tanglewood breakfast was as advertised – a fully cooked breakfast (NOT continental style). Gordon’s Eggs Benedict were superb and a great start to our foodie tour of Tasmania!||Gordon was an excellent host, waiting up for our late arrival after dinner with friends in Devonport upon our arrival on the day ferry from Melbourne. Highly recommended!

It was in a beautiful setting, the gardens are lovely, it is a very old home the presentation inside takes your breath away. Breakfast was plentiful, well presented and most of all delicious. The owner of the B&B is one of those “one in a million people” who makes you feel like you are one of her family. Would stay there again without hesitation. Top marks.
