Fantastic stay at Adam’s place - The Station House. Comfortable, Clean, Cosy and conveniently located self contained unit in Sheffield. Adam is the best at explaining local attractions & what to do. Ten minute walk to the Main Street. Gateway to Cradle Mountain and surrounds. The Paper & Cup cafe in the Main Street did the best coffee we’ve had in a long while. The RSL did a good dinner, The Sheffield Hotel not so good compared to 18 months ago. When staying in Sheffield again it will be at The Station House.

Absolutely great stay at the Station House. Stayed here to go climb Cradle Mountain. In which, this place is within a good distance whilst being in a township.

Shona and Adam were fantastic hosts, putting the fire on prior to arrival and ensuring I was comfortable for my whole stay.

If you are looking for a lovely place to stay near Cradle Mountain, or the visiting the region - strongly recommend you stay at the Station House.

Stayed for 2 nights while doing walks at Cradle Mtn. The property was clean, well presented, with a beautiful country feel. Apartment 3 had a lovely back deck, and we even saw the southern lights from there, looking towards Mt Roland. Great value for money and Marie was lovely to deal with. We enjoyed the complimentary bickies with a cuppa on the deck! Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The place is amazing! We had a lovely night here. The size of the room is very spacious. Decoration was beautiful!! Details everywhere… They think in everything, in the fridge we found some cereal, milk, bread, coffee to have for breakfast next morning 😍. They also have a little section to buy a book for $1 dollar, they make you life easier by having six packs of beer ready to be bought if you want to drink just outside the room and more things. I wish we had stayed in this quiet place at least 2 nights.. we would come back when we visit Tasmania again, thanks David and Marie ❤️

We recently stayed at The Station House for 4 nights and had a great experience. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable, with so many thoughtful touches that made the stay so nice. We did day trips from here to Cradle Mountain and also the many amazing local food producers in the surrounding area. Sheffield itself is a gorgeous little town with an amazing view of Mt Roland. I highly recommend this place, was so nice to come back to after each long day of hiking/exploring/eating!

I stayed here with my husband as part of a round-the-world 3 month trip. When we looked back at our whole trip this place stuck out as one of our favourite accommodations.|We had the apartment with a decking which we loved and ate outside every evening. With views of countryside and mountains it was so relaxing!|The apartment is a good size for a couple with plenty of space for our luggage. The kitchenette is good for a short stay- but there is not oven/hob so we mostly ate deli stuff we got nearby. It was clean and comfortable and well stocked with toiletries, towels, robes, blankets, tea, coffee etc. There was also lots of info about the local NPs and there was a communal area with more books/leaflets plus wine and snacks to buy. They really had thought about everything you may need.|There isn't tonnes to do in the local area but sheffield is a nice little place to wonder around- especially the mural park and murals around the town. There also isn't loads of eating options but there are cafes and small supermarkets.|We stayed here to visit Cradle mountain- which is an hr-ish drive away. This apartment was great to come back to after a long day of walking and we slept really well in the comfy bed.|We didn't meet the owner as it was self check in/check out but they were good at communicating and I'm sure if we had any problems they would have made them selves available.|Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wow. This apartment was our first 2 nights accommodation of our holiday and it certainly set the bar high for the rest of the places we were heading to afterwards. It had everything we needed, super comfy bed, awesome shower and bathroom, small kitchenette, lounge an tv. It was a great location and very peaceful. Attention to detail was amazing and special treats such as fresh fruit, berries, chocolates and port for those cold nights was all there. Would definetely stay there again if were back there and have already started recommending it to our friends. The owners are more than helpful with any questions you have before and during your stay and check in and check out is so simple.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst travelling the west coast of Tasmania in May.||||Finding the premises and check in was a breeze with clear and precise instructions received from the host on the morning of arrival. The property was situated a nice easy walk from the Main Street of Sheffield.||||We were in Unit 1 which is situated at the front of the property and off street parking was provided. The unit was neat, tidy, clean and very comfortable. Everything was provided that you need, including a wood heater and a split system. Bed was very comfortable and the complimentary port and chocolates was a nice surprise too. Free wifi was also provided.||||There was heaps of information on the local area including what to do, where to go and eat and how to get around provided by the owners which was very helpful.||||Highly recommend. Would have no hesitation staying here again.
