We recently stayed at this location for two nights and oh my goodness, it was incredible!
The cabins themselves were absolutely stunning, surrounded by the mountains and wildlife.
The furniture and decor suited the place perfectly, and the bed was so comfortable.
We took a walk down to the cafe/restaurant where the service was amazing and the food was so good!!
The only constructive feedback is the phone reception, but this meant that we switched our phones off - no one could contact us and it was BLISS. Very highly recommended, and if we return to Tasmania, we will definitely be returning here. Thank you so much, for such a wonderful experience.

Great little cottages, that are cheap, clean and warm.
We didn’t mind but a word of warning there is no onsite reception team, no phone signal and no wifi available.
The only time having no one on site was difficult was when we realised we had no cutlery.

Amazing location and beautiful rooms. We stayed at the room called Pademelon Place and had 2 little pademelons visit us daily just off the back balcony!
The check in and check out instructions were super easy and even though there were other cottages next to us we felt wonderfully isolated.
Thanks for a great stay!

We loved our stay and were so happy that we chose this quaint, private lodging option as it was surrounded by lovely forest and so much more affordable than the basic cabins at more posh resorts. It was less than 1/2 hour drive to Cradle Mountain hiking area but watch for animals at dusk - they are everywhere 🙂 We stayed in the Quoll cabin and loved having two tables/chair set ups outside the main door and large window. Each day we were greeted by pademelons and a chorus of song birds. The cabin was well stocked, bedding super comfortable and the whirlpool bath / hottub was amazing after completing a long hike. The heating system was super efficient. The kitchen (equipped with a microwave and small fridge) was outfitted with everything we needed for simple meals. Check in process was super easy and there are a couple of new cafes on the corner offering amazing coffee at Blue Tree Gallery which also features a lovely array of local artisan products. The staff at nearby Cradle Gateway Cafe were super friendly but the breakfast sandwich and coffee was quite basic - they do offer dinner for pickup which is a nice option.

Stayed one night after visiting Cradle Mountain. Stayed in the Wombat Suite, Cabin #2. It was just OK. The fan heater was quite efficient as it had obviously been on a while before our arrival, but was quite noisy so not possible to leave on through the night. The settee was pretty uncomfortable, no support and seat sagged a bit. Small TV. The small kitchen area was as we expected. Had brought a microwave meal, as there's nowhere to eat nearby. The shower was ok, quite powerful and plenty of hot water, although quite difficult to control the temperature using the 2 controls. Bathroom floor tiles were freezing if you don't have slippers. Tha biggest problem was the cleanliness, or lack thereof. Bathroom floor was dirty, also the carpet, and the bedside units were very dusty. I found the bed comfortable enough, but the pillows were thin and need replacing. MY ADVICE - drive a little further and stay in Sheffield where there seemed plenty of accommodation and eating choices.

My wife and I stayed here on our Honeymoon and were blown away with how cosy the Inn was. The room was very warm and the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere here was very homely and despite a lack of reception or wifi, we were able to share a meal and relax watching tv which was a nice change of pace for us. Definitely worth staying here!

It's a cheap place to stay. It is worth noting that there's no WiFi. Which isn't a big deal. But the cottages are in a network deadzone it seems. So we couldn't even use our own network to look up dinner recommendations etc. Had to walk up to main road and across the street just to get a couple of bars service. So be prepared for that.
