We stopped for a quick coffee break on the road, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with a beautiful smile from a lovely lady who recommended we try their hot chocolates—and they were truly special. These weren’t just made with chocolate powder and sugar but with real Belgian chocolate. We tried the dark hot chocolate, milk hot chocolate, and white vanilla hot chocolate. They weren’t overly sweet, which was perfect for our palate. The biscuits at the counter were delicious too and paired well with the drinks. We would absolutely love to come back if we ever get the chance to visit Cradle Mountain again.

The perfect coffee/brunch/lunch stopover for your cradle mountain getaway!!!! My partner and I travelled all the way down to experience one of the greatest natural landmarks in Tassie! Our spontaneous adventure led us to this beautiful cafe owned by two friendly Melbournians - they sure know what good coffee tastes like ☕️🥰 Upon our arrival, the lady greeted us warmly and shared some some valuable advice on where to find spectacular natural sights including wildlife encounters, scenic hikes, auroras and photography tips 📸 She even told us about places to eat around the Cradle Mountain site! Our trip was enriched by the wealth of knowledge and advice shared with us - we truly are filled with gratitude for an unforgettable experience and possibly one of the best Aussie road trips we’ve ever taken! & let’s not forget about the Wifi
- we were able to connect with our family and friends and plan our trip accordingly with the help of the wifi in this cafe📱

I couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend this cafe to all of you!!! Best coffee (tip: Add butter scotch), great breakfast food, amazing owners!!! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed 💕💕💕

Popped in for a take away coffee and the lady serving was very friendly! She had just baked a fresh Ferrero Rocher cake and gave me a little sample, was absolutely delicious! Very friendly service and genuine conversation! Felt in a great mood after my interaction with her! Iced coffee was also delicious!

Our party of four had a selection of hot drinks after our Cradle Mountain stay, and we were delighted with each of the delicious drinks, served to us by the most cheerful lady. She happily shared some of her local knowledge for us to explore the area further, which we were very grateful for. Highly recommended for a drop in!

It was raining hard on the way from Devonport, and this stop for food (Egg n Bacon Roll and Ham n Cheese toastie) and coffee (large latte x2) was very welcome - Thank you.

On our way up to Cradle Mountain my wife Joanne and I broke down right across.from the Cradle.Gateway Cafe. A local resident named Will along with Anita from the cafe immediately stepped up to offer assistance. After about an hour we were back on the road. Anita is the owner.of the cafe. She was friendly and professional. Her sandwiches were very good and the coffee was delicious. We wish her the best and thank both she and the neighbor Will for all the help.
