This café is definitely not pet-friendly. I had my dog quietly sitting at my table while I quickly went to the car, about 15 meters away in eye shot to grab some water. My dog barked twice,|Just two short barks because it doesn’t like being left alone. There were no other customers, I was the only one there. As I was walking back the 15 meters, the person running the café approached me to ask that I stop the dog from barking because she found it annoying. However, by that point, the dog had already stopped and was sitting calmly, making no noise at all. I understand that maintaining the atmosphere is important for any business, but the situation had resolved itself by the time I was approached. The reaction seemed more about personal annoyance than any real disturbance. A more understanding and polite approach would have made the interaction more positive. After all, my dog was calm and the café was empty. The way it was handled felt unnecessary and a bit immature. It’s disappointing that such a minor issue was made into a point of contention when it could have been handled with more patience and empathy. The place is nice, clean, and the reception is welcoming. However, I’d recommend avoiding the café if you’re expecting a truly pet-friendly environment. The café staff’s behavior was immature and unnecessarily rude, lacking the patience and professionalism you’d hope for in such an establishment. Consider going elsewhere if you’re bringing a pet.

Awesome place to stop! The rooms are lovely, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed here with our border collie puppy, and it was easy to keep him contained. Thanks for having us, we’ll definitely be back ?

I stay at this Motel regularly for work and it’s definitely one of my favourites. Service is always friendly and efficient and the rooms are spacious and very clean.
Meals at the nearby Cherry St Sports Club are provided at a members discount, a nice touch.
I don’t usually have breakfast but this morning I had Bacon and Eggs on toast at the onsite ‘proper Cafe’. Once again very friendly service and the best poached eggs I have had very a very long time.

Stayed here on a recent road trip up north.Greeted by very nice staff, who took us to the accommodation. Ours was motel style, with everything in the same room and separate bathroom. We even had an outside private courtyard, so there were two doors, one was a sliding glass door. Very nicely set up. There was a second bed. Would have much preferred a sofa bed style, as the bed took up too much room, and the two bucket chairs weren't comfy to watch TV. Also a swimming pool om the premises.

Great great experience. Theroom was spacious. Had a minimalist design that worked perfectly. Big beds, bigger closet, a fridge, a TV, a Kettle, a toaster, some dishes and cutlery. This place had everything. There were also some board games outside that youcould play with. The bathroom was neat and had shower gel and shampoos and they gave us like 4 towels. It was so good. The location is convenient too as it was in between the beach side and town centre. They has space for parking too.

Absolutely lovely little motel, rooms have been renovated and are clean, spacious bathrooms with smart tvs in each room. Pet friendly, we felt so welcomed with our dogs we extended our stay here for a few extra days due to the rain and the manager could not have been more helpful in accommodating us, plus friends who joined us with their dogs.
Incredible service and the attached cafe makes a GREAT coffee.
