Nierinna Rise Bed & Breakfast was a home away from home! Ric & Jan have an amazing set up with the most gorgeous view over the surrounding mountains and Mt Wellington. We had fresh milk, bread and fruit every morning. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was huge, all kitchen facilities were available along with an expresso coffee machine. It was around 15 minutes from the city but a perfect setting for people who want to get out of the whole "rat race". Ric and Jan are lovely genuine people who provide you with an overwhelming amount of information about the area. The best kept secret in Tassie! We couldn't fault this beautiful B & B and we can't wait to go back!

As with other reviews, we have found Nierinna Rise an excellent B&B in Margate. I would recommend staying there while making a trip on the Huon Trial. The room is very comfortable. Ric and Jan certainly took a lot of pride in their home and extended it to us when we stayed there although unfortunately, we only found the place on our last night in Tasmania. We wished we had stayed there the day before. The gardens is beautiful and it was relaxing taking a short walk around the gardens. I would certainly stay there again on my next visit to Tasamina. When your driving up the hill to Nierinna Rise, with its stunning country surrounds you're expecting that the accommodation might be country cozy, boy were we wrong. The c word I would use is class. Sure it's cozy, but there is such a beautiful attention to detail in the unit that it reminded me of something done up for a reality renovation show. We loved the furnishings & decor, the large & attractive bathroom, and the verandah breakfast nook looking towards the mountains. We spent almost five weeks in Tassie, but Jan & Ric's B&B extras outweighed all our other stays; homemade jams, slices & beautiful breads and cheeses. It was fun to come home and find a different treat waiting for us each day. We stayed for five glorious nights and explored the beautiful region. If your feeling stressed and need to kick back, head off to Nierenna Rise and be rejuvenated. Thank you Ric & Jan.

This is a MUST for that weekend away or a few days to regroup either alone or with a partner. When you walk in, you feel relaxed and at home. Everything is perfect; beginning with the gentle but very friendly welcome from Jan and Ric. The room is warm and cozy with a wonderful view and access to the hillside and gardens. I never eat continental breakfasts- that is until now. Homemade jams and marmalade, a beautiful bread chosen daily, fresh fruit, yogurt and REAL MILK. So quiet and peaceful-this is a delightful place to visit. Get out of Hobart and simply enjoy...... Even the toilet paper and tissues are of the best quality. Thank you Ric and Jan....

We stayed for two nights at Nierrinna rise, and had a very relaxed, peaceful stay. It is the best B&B we have stayed in so far.We couldn't fault it.The accomodation is self contained and private.Flowers were a lovely touch, as was the bathrobes.About 20 minutes from Hobart, but well worth it, as views from room are fantastic and peaceful nights sleep in a very comfy bed!Thoroughly recommend!!

Lovely to be greeted by the friendly red dog upon our arrival. Beautiful views west across the valley from the suite. Nierinna Rise is the perfect spot to stop if you're exploring the Huon Trail or planning a visit to Bruny Island.

We arrived at this B and B exhausted after a long walk to be warmly welcomed by hosts who seeing our fatigue, kindly bought us our breakfast supplies early.It became a light dinner of yoghurt and fresh fruit that made our stay a delight. We could simply relax, enjoy the cosy room, the delightful view and recover. Everything is there in the room for a comfortable stay. We left too early to thank our hosts but they deserved our praise! Great value.
