We celebrated our son's 21st Birthday with a Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and the service was above and beyond. For a casual bite to eat or a family celebration, you can't go past the Cascade Hotel. It never disappoints!

Terrible place for a meal. Very hard to choose something that isn't deep fried or yesterdays roast reheated in boiling water and covered with gravy to disguise. The menu is extensive.
Prices over top for basic pub meals and lets face it that's all they are - basic pub meals! Seriously $30 for a fettucini carbonara! I cant eat deep fried food, ask could I have grilled fish. The answer yes the special today is pan grilled. I said I don't want a meal that large. it was $39. Answer - oh they are small pieces. And the ambience - cannot hear anyone at your table because of the acoustics. Don't go there if you want to sit down and have a chat over a meal.

Both of us were greeted very nicely on arrival, and the service was lovely, and attentive.
Our meals were great, tasty and cooked to our liking and delivered promptly

Very disappointed within the gluten free options as the “chicken schnitzel” was literally a grilled piece of chicken covered in a bizarre seasoning and very limited other options couldn’t even have fries with my meal as they weren’t coeliac friendly wouldn’t come back for a meal.

Great local pub, with plenty of variety. Very popular for meals and has a vast menu catering to all tastes. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

I stayed in a hotel unit behind the main hotel. I chose this for convenience as my husband was in the hospital next door and was the only good thing about staying here.
The accommodation was atrocious and I would not recommend it to anyone.
The bathroom smelt mouldy and between the basin and bath the lino was peeling and the wood was black with mould , there was used cotton bud on the floor and the shower was held up with string. The lounge suite was covered with a stretchy covering and upon straightening the cover there was black pieces falling on the floor. This turned out to be the vinyl beneath the cover, almost all of which had peeled from the suite. The dining table had huge hunks out of it, there were bare and broken light globes above the bed, dodgy light switches, sheets were laundered but covered in fluff and what looked like spots of oil on the pillow slips. The pillows were so old and worn I was thankful I had at least taken my own pillow with me. I didn’t cook on the hot plates as the vent above was so filthy I was worried something would fall in my food.
I was stressed enough being there on my own while my husband was in hospital and just couldn’t deal with arguing with them to get my money back or move.
There must be some standard they required to meet.
Don’t stay here!!
