We stayed at The Loft for 2 nights and our accommodation was comfortable, private and peaceful. The Loft was quaint and had everything we needed for our stay and it was central to lots of things to see and do with a couple of nice little take away restaurants close by for our meals. A great place to stay, be aware that The Loft has a staircase to access it so just ensure you're confident with stairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Loft.

We stayed at Cedar House (big one in the middle). The location was fantastic, and the actual house was very nice, however... the cleanliness and beds left a lot to be desired. We found old popcorn in between the couch cushions, greasy tray in the oven, extremely dirty windows, old used soap in the shower caddy. It was very gross to stay in a place that wasn't cleaned properly from the last guests. In addition to that, the beds were horrible! When I pay $350 per night, I would at the very least expect a bed that didn't feel like it was picked up at the op shop about 50 years ago. There were 6 beds in the whole place and they each felt as bad as the other. If the beds of this place were replaced, and they did a thorough clean, it would be worth it - but the way it is now, I'd never recommend anyone to stay here.

A good place to stay. We had 2 bedrooms house (Cinnamon cottage). The house is new, with comfortable kitchen and bathroom. The house also has washing machine.
The location is great, easy access to highway, walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping centres.
Note: there is only one air-condition in the living area, rooms don't have air-conditioning.

We had a wonderful time at Cedar Cottages. We stayed in the studio and it had beautiful views of the flowers, plants, leafy trees and ocean. It was the perfect little place to cosy up.

Our school group stayed in both Country Cottage and Country Suite. The layout of both buildings suited us well - bedrooms and bathrooms for students and staff. A welcome surprise was the ensuite in Country Cottage. ||||Kitchens were well resourced with everything we needed for cooking and we managed to fit 15 people in the kitchen/dining to eat. ||||We stayed in early spring and were toasty warm. The heaters in both buildings worked without a hitch and the electric blankets were very popular. ||||Space to park a small bus off road. An easy 20 minute commute to Hobart. Supermarket and take away places within walking distance as is the beach along with at least one restaurant. ||||Owners were very helpful prior to our visit, answering many questions via email promptly. ||||Recommend this site for small groups. Works perfectly booking both houses. It is just like a home away from home. Will definitely stay here again!

The house was very clean, easily fit 10 of us. It has everything in it including kitchen and laundry. By standing on the balcony upstairs, you will enjoy the sunrise view in the blackmans bay. It is just 15 mins to Hobart by car. We are all happy with the stay. I would definitely book again in the future.

Cedar Cottages was our self contained accommodation for 5 nights on a recent visit to Hobart for a family wedding. It is close to the Derwent estuary and The Beach Restaurant where the wedding reception was held. Check in is via keys in a lock box and check is the same. We did not meet the owners at all. Parking is rather tight when other guests are in Cedar Cottages, which is close by on the same block..||The loft is upstairs with vies over the Derwent . There's a small balcony, a queen sized bed, television, separate bathroom and dining/kitchen area with a well equipped kitchen. There's also a sofa.||The accommodation was clean and very comfortable with a homely feel. Noise was minimal at all times. There's no wi fi provided.. We would return.

We (me and my husband,12 years old daughter)stayed for a week at country suit. Very clean and comfortable, we are all very happy. All the appliances are new and works really well. Lots of extra containers, cooking tools, clean wraps, zip locks, garbage bags, cooking papers , things like these made our long stay really comfortable.
Great location- close to shops and beach.
Highly recommend!
