My husband and I spent two nights at Love Grove early December as a base to visit Cradle Mountain which is about 40 mins away from Love Grove. ||||Kitchen: The room came with a fully equipped kitchen with oil, salt and pepper and all the cooking utensils you need to cook a homey meal. Breakfast provisions are generous with eggs, bacon, bread, milk, jam, coffee, milk, orange juice and a selection of cereal on offer. The guesthouse is located about 50 minutes from Devonport which is not bad considering Tasmania is not that small of an island. Make sure you pick up all your groceries and provisions from Devonport (we went to Hill Street Grocers and Petuna Seafood) before you drive to Love Grove as I don't remember seeing any grocers along the way. ||||Bedroom: The room is well-heated with a heating panel near the bed (trust me, you would need this even in the "summer") and electric blankets underneath the bedsheets. The bed is very comfortable. ||||Lawn: If you are an animal lover, make sure you walk around the lawn. You will likely be greeted by two dogs (one shy, one friendly), a very friendly cat, two beautiful horses and two bunnies. If you are into wildlife, take a walk from the property and there are bound to be wallabies hopping around.

Travelling in Tasmania had taken us down lots of unmade roads and Lovegrove Guest House was down a 5km track off the main road. It was absolutely delightful. Tania – and the chickens – greeted us as we drove through the yard to find a lovely self-contained addition to the rear of the property. It had every amenity: a comfy bed, a spa bathroom, lounge and kitchen and a small terrace to enjoy the views. Tastefully decorated and definitely one to recommend.

We stayed 2 nights over the Queens birthday long weekend. Upon arrival the wood heater was on, hot spa filled up, complete with candles. So sweet, and very welcome after the long drive!! |Breakfast supplies were more than enough, and the cooking facilities were great. I had initially booked a hotel, so glad I cancelled when I found this place! |We had fun sitting out the front at night watching the little native animals. We'll definitely come back in Summer to explore this beautiful part of Tas.

Partner and I stayed for two nights in November 2015. We found the Love Grove to be an excellent base for exploring Cradle Mountain. The self contained unit was spotlessly clean and well equipped with supplies for the weary traveller. The unit had everything we needed to make a nice breakfast and they even had the fire going for us when we arrived. It really was the little things that made this accommodation stand out from the others. ||||The setting was picturesque and so peaceful. Tania and John were amazing hosts and even introduced us to their new horse. ||||If you're looking to stay in the area and don't mind a 30 minute drive to Cradle Mountain, this is the accommodation for you.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights, it was everything the brochure said. We had all that we needed for a peaceful getaway.|We stayed here to primarily visit cradle Mountain, after a long day of hiking it was great to come home to a quiet place, have a fire going, a hot spa bath and cook a nice meal. |Wifi was very much appreciated as Vodaphone works no where here. Any planing of trips and contact with the world was only made here. |A hire car is needed and ensure to bring your phone holder for the GPS to guide you in and around till you know the area. At night is pitch black with no street lights, but that is all part of the country charm.|Bring all your food and water you will need for your stay. There are very little opportunities to buy supplies here or in nearby towns. |We stocked up in Deloraine at Woolies and were so greatful we did. It saved us so much money being able to have all our meals sorted and paid for before we got here. Left us with nothing but adventure to be had. Highly recommended staying here 😀 The hosts will leave you be and you'll feel like you have the whole place to to your self like a little cabin in the woods. Will absolutely stay again 😚

We had the most amazing stay at Love Grove, we just loved everything about it, so beautifully set out, very comfortable bed, loved the fire and the spa at night was fabulous, breakfast provisions were great, the cottage has everything you need in a wonderful remote setting, horses and dogs to pat. The hosts Tania and John were the most lovely people, we can't wait to come back to stay.

Lovely cabin. Arrived in awful weather and just wrote off the rest of the day watching films , having a relaxing spa bath and keeping warm by the woodburning stove |Best to stock up with provisions before you arrive as no local shops and 15’ to nearest restaurant. |Comfortably appointed and clearer owners gone to efforts to make stay comfortable - breakfast hamper a welcome and thoughtful touch. |Only 30’ to Cradle Mountain and away from any crowds there. Recommend especially if like a bit of getting back to being near to nature whilst retaining comforts. |Hosts were there if needed but left us in peace.

This has been hands down the BEST place we have stayed at. It was absolutely perfect. The guest house is set out beautifully in such a tranquil setting. The host was lovely and so welcoming. The guesthouse was attatched to the main house but was still completely separate and we still got complete privacy and would never even know there was people living there. I can't rate this guest house highly enough, thankyou for a fantastic stay for our last night in tassie!
