Incredible tour with our extremely knowledgeable guides Lucy and Fay. What a service they provide to preserving the memory of Home Hill and the Lyons family. They truly brought the history of so many details to life for us, as well as our interstate guests. We were gasping at times, upon realising just how special this family were to Australian political life and how little we knew of them before the tour. Even our children were included and got something out of it. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Devonport. You don’t have to be a history buff to enjoy it.

An excellent and informative tour of the home of one of Australia's less prominent Prime Ministers (Joseph Lyons) - even though he was PM for seven years and died in office and Dame Edith Lyons (who was both a British and Australian Dame, plus became an MP too).

They had twelve children!

Lovely home and story

A very remarkable women to carry on after loosing her famous husband. We even went and paid our respect at their grave after the tour.

A very interesting piece of Australian history and an insight into a family that faithfully served in both state and federal governments while maintaining close contact with their roots as true Aussie battlers. The country loved them for it as did the monarchy. More people should know about their story.
