Our first visit to Ember and Vine was an absolute delight, and we can't wait to return! The arancini balls were simply divine, with a perfectly crispy exterior and a soft, flavourful filling. Unfortunately, we were so eager to savor the garlic bread that we completely forgot to take a picture before starting. It was an absolute masterpiece, with a generous layer of melted cheese and a hint of garlic that tantalized our taste buds. The final dish, my partner's steak, was cooked to absolute perfection. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, with a lovely pepper sauce. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ember & Vines.

I especially liked the option to sample the entrees, tapas style as a tasting / share plate!
Although a full regular menu is offered, I chose from the additional lunch menu, the beef brisket burger - which was delicious. The chips were thick, with a nice seasoning - different to other restaurants.
A cold flute of sparking wine just topped off my fabulous visit. If only we chose desserts too!

The staff were friendly and attentive.

The interior is tastefully modern to the historic building, classy but comfortable.

I understand the restaurant is owned and managed by young families - I think it’s fantastic to see new ideas and life breathing through the city, a real positive for Burnie. I wish E&V every success.

Enjoyed a delicious meal last night, we had the oysters, starter tasting platter, steak for mains and the dessert platter. All of the flavours were beautiful, especially the kilpatrick oysters and the steak - I'm a bit fussy with steak cuts and the meat was high quality and beautiful. The only things I'd change to give the experience 5 stars would be for the lighting to be a bit more atmospheric (quite bright and canteen-like at the minute) and for the sauce to be served separately to the steak - both the mushroom sauce and the white wine & garlic sauce were very rich and heavy, it would have been better to have in a small jug at the side to allow portioning of the sauce, instead the steaks were covered in it and it was a bit overwhelming.
All round an excellent venue, lovely staff (very casual style service), and beautiful flavours. Would happily return.

Entrees were amazing!
My main was really good, my partners not so much, half of his steak was cooked a perfect medium the other half almost blue!
They did take a drink off the bill but when you’re paying a decent price you expect your steak to be bang on!
Dessert was okay.
The young lady who served us was amazing 💜
Overall it wasn’t my worst experience eating out somewhere,
The food was fresh and full of flavour! Just need some brushing up on the steak cooking.

Absolutely phenomenal! Embers is a game-changer for Burnie. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the stunning venue set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The food? Absolutely out of this world. I indulged in the 3 Cheese Arancini with tomato sugo and pecorino cheese, the most mouthwatering Brussels sprouts with Parmesan and bacon crumb, creamy Mac & Cheese, and their Maple Glazed Pork Cutlet with sweet potato and seeded mustard mash plus perfectly cooked wilted greens. Every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and absolutely divine. I was full but couldn’t stop because it was that good!

And the cocktails—wow! I finished the meal with their Raspberry Coconut Mule, a genius blend of coconut rum, raspberry, lime, and ginger beer. It was refreshing, unique, and the perfect end to an extraordinary meal.

Thank you, Embers Team, for delivering an exceptional experience. You’ve set the bar sky-high—I can’t wait to come back!

Was excited to try out the new Ember and Vines but was disappointed. The atmosphere and staff were good. Not particularly friendly but they appear to be learning so that is ok. The cocktail options were not amazing and the drink chosen was very tangy. The food was lacklustre with no real flavour. The crispy Hossein Cauliflower did not come with the fried rice, as per the menu and tasted more like a sweet and sour and not in a good way. The Arancini balls had little flavour and the marinara was the same. Don't think I'll bother again.
