Gorgeous little house, reminiscent of a true English guest house. We had a lovely room with an ocean view and private deck and thoroughly enjoyed the one night we stayed there. The house is located within a one-minute walk to the penguin viewing platform and a short drive or walk to the Nut. The house was quiet and very clean, as was our room. This may sound absurd, but it had the cleanest bathtub I have ever seen outside of my own house! There is an honor bar in the room and the lounge. Both my husband and I wish we could have spent more time here.

The guest house enjoys a prime location, and the check - in process is a breeze. The rooms are not only spotlessly clean but also possess a unique charm. Should my friends plan a visit to Stanley, I will definitely recommend they stay here.

Highly recommend Hanlon Guest House.
Ease of access to the town, the Penguin board walk, beach etc very easy.
Our room was lovely and comfy. Facilities within were awesome. Peaceful and quiet.
Our host - fantastic!
We had a balcony from which we watched the sun rise and whales playing offshore.
Thanks for the memories.

The Hanlon guest house very quaint and old-fashioned furnishing to live up to its past History . it is conveniently located to the Nut and the viewing platforms for the little penguin and it is also a short stroll to the main street for eateries etc.

We loved it. We felt safe in a really big storm. Even with the power out, we were warm and dry. The house was magnificent, and our room was classy and very clean. We enjoyed the spa. The weather was bad, but our experience was just warm and friendly.
We will stay there again.

Overpriced with moth problems in room 2. Two moths flying in the room with damaged curtain. Check the room rate near your arrival date. We found out that the same room rate dropped 15% for our booking.

The location is great. Very close to the nut.

Easy check in with your envelope in the door. Our upstairs room #4 had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The room & bathroom were large & comfortable. Tastefully done in heritage style, not overdone. Shower pressure could have been better. Would have been fantastic if breakfast was included as it was expensive to stay.

Lovely renovated property in a fantastic location and good value.

Some internet references to breakfast being available and only a very limited number of rooms have any cooking facilities (maybe only 1 outside the main house but still very nice ).

Staff / owners were excellent and went out of their way to assist with some eating utensils and we were able to upgrade to the self contained cabin.

Good value for money and I would certainly recommend.
