Beautiful. My favourite stay in Tasmania. |Restful, thoughtful & considerate to guests. |Wonderful full sized kitchen to use, comfy lounge area, beach & cliff side views, cozy fireside each night, honesty bar for guests. I stayed hillside for the 2nd time & booked the massage after a long hike, great place to rest, restore & renew. This is one of the best values for money I've stayed, Australia & internationally. It really is a very special, quaint place. Rooms are generous size, you have options e.g. shared bathroom (which doesn't feel like sharing, little considerations for guests make it easy). |Penguin walk at night, take a wine or snacks for a walk, wood & lights supplied. Don't miss on your travels to Tasmania.

Wow, what an incredible find! We’ve stayed in many places, but this one truly blew us away—in the best possible way.

The location is perfect—serene, surrounded by nature, yet with every thoughtful touch you could want. The design is a masterclass in modern, eco-conscious luxury—sleek, stylish, and seamlessly blending into the landscape. The sense of space is expansive yet cozy, with stunning 180 degree views.

We loved the communal areas—the kitchen, lounge, and living spaces are sophisticatedly designed, with effortless comfort. And the outdoor fire pit adds extra magic.

We saw so many wildlife at our door steps (peacocks, alpaca, highland cows and pademelons) and of course let’s not forget the star of the show—the resident penguin parade each evening after sunset.

If you’re looking for a stay that’s unique, luxurious, and soul-refreshing, this is it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the Cove. We opted for an A frame with a toilet as we knew we would need the convenience of this. The A frame was beautifully furnished and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. The common areas at the Cove were exceptional. The common kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the dining area and sitting areas were just lovely overlooking the Bass strait as did the kitchen. The common bathroom also has everything you need and I didn't mind the little walk through the gardens to shower in their supplied bathrobe and slippers. What a fabulous location for a bit of rest and relaxation. Definitely recommend and I wish the Cove well with their expansion and I look forward to returning one day.

My wife and I chose The Cove for our “baby-moon” and we couldn’t have been happier. Each room is beautifully designed blending modern luxury with natural elements over looking Tasmania’s best coastal views. ||The communal dining and living area is spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need—whether you’re cooking up a feast, enjoying games with friends, or simply relaxing in a comfortable, inviting space of your own.||The Cove is a true hidden gem of Tasmania and I highly recommend for your next romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful experience at The Cove. From the start, the customer service was exceptional. Kim gave us a warm and friendly welcome, followed by an informative tour of the property. All the staff were delightful; helpful, approachable, really cheerful.||The property itself was perfectly clean, well-maintained, and set in a stunning location. The grounds were immaculate, with beautiful walks offering spectacular views. Spotting the cute penguins was a total bonus! Directions were clear and easy to follow, making The Cove easy to find.||The cabin was incredibly comfortable, with a cosy bed that ensured a restful stay. We also loved what Kim and Bruce are doing with the extensions to the property. It’s exciting to see how much care and thought they’re putting into enhancing the experience for their guests.||The Christmas gift bag was a lovely surprise; generous, and delicious.||Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend The Cove for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting.

Amazing hidden gem just outside of Devonport! The location was superb at any time of day to sit with a cup of coffee or eat a meal. Even though there isn't a restaurant available at the moment, the kitchen facilities were perfect for cooking a meal in. There was a great attention to detail on the amenities too, with the staff providing red light torches to see the penguins safely and numerous games to play.

The Cove is such a stunning place!! My work colleagues gave me this special gift of 2 nights of sheer relaxation surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. Accomodation had everything and more and the staff so friendly. An absolute must do!! We will be back.
