Great caravan park with lovely facilities. Everything was in immaculate condition. The owners were exceptionally friendly. Although the park is next to the road, it is very quiet at night with pademelons grazing around the park. The location was handy for touristing and the penguin tours just down the road. I can highly recommend the Low Head Big 4. I even photographed the Southern Aurora over the Tamar.

Pre booked 3 night stay, ensuite site, 2 adults. Warm and friendly hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Lovely quiet park backing on to grazing land, lots of wildlife and birds. Ensuite was excellent, spacious, terrific shower with complimentary toiletries, foot mat and hand towel, plenty of pressure and hot water. Site was large and level and heaps of lush grass everywhere in the park.
Laundry has coin operated machines and dryers, washing lines are also available .
Central to Georgetown and Low Head Lighthouse among other attractions. Views over the Tamar river.
Highly recommend staying here if travelling in the area.

I stayed at this Big4 Low Head Tourist Park for 3 nights (pay for 2 deal) from 24/3/25.

Great power sites with a dump point between 2 sites. Grounds are well maintained.

The lady I had on reception was nice to deal with. However I found the guy had an obnoxious manner. All was ok until as I was packing up to leave and topped my water tank up (no signs to the contrary) and had just finished and the guy strides over to my site and opened my power box then said ‘You leaving today?’ Curtly said. I said I was and he again quite curtly said ‘have a safe trip’ and off he went. Seemed I’d upset him!

I suggest the park looks at putting a designated dump hose beside each dump point as using own drinking water hose to rinse cassette not hygienic.

I have rated the park low on the basis the guys manner left a lot to be desired.

This is a lovely, well maintained and presented holiday park. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The amenities are modern and spotless as is the camp kitchen. A few little bug bears, the code for the amenities could be made a little easier to remember, for those of us travelling with an aged brain. The guard dogs across the road barking and a bit of traffic, both of which ease later in the evening and not under the park owner’s control ! It’s a lovely location, which makes a great base to explore the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended this park. A lovely little gesture upon departure and returning the boom fob, is a few lollies for the next part of your journey 😊

Really lovely service here,LOVED the bag of Lollies on checkout- thankyou, very sweet touch! Advice for touring around the town and surrounds. Hookup was easy and sites were clean and neat, although not widely spaced. Facilities were pristine and modern, with a lovely hot shower.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here. We were on site # 11. This is family run. It is very tidy and the facilities are spotless. We would definitely stay there again. It’s not too far from town and also the lighthouses. It’s pet friendly, which is always a plus for us.

We stayed at the Low Head Tourist Park for four nights. They offered us a Big 5 special ‘stay 4 pay 3’ which was great. This is an awesome caravan park to base yourself at while exploring the area and nearby towns. We explored local museums etc and took a day trip to Cataract Gorge near Launceston.
We had a powered site with an ensuite which was wonderful. I did not use the larger amenities block so I can’t comment on that but our ensuite was perfectly clean and modern and the communal laundry facilities and camp kitchen were also perfectly clean. The camp kitchen is small but has a microwave, stove and fridge and has a great view. It was not the busy season so there weren’t many others at the park, but that suited us fine. A few caravans and motorhomes came through while we were there.
The hosts were fantastic, so friendly, gave us advice on the area, where to find things, what to do. The park was so well kept. If we visit Tasmania again we would have no hesitation staying here and would highly recommend it to other visitors.
