This is a very secluded and peaceful place, nestled away among the trees/bushes and wildlife.| The property is laid out in private cabin type bungalows each with their own driveway and not overlooking each other .| The view from the bungalow is spectacular. There are three small private beaches accessible from the property. ( Beach towels are available from reception)| Each bungalow is equipped with a fully functional kitchen. So it is possible to cook meals here easily and there are a couple of well stocked supermarkets in coles bay. Be aware though that the supermarkets close quite early. We had 2 bedrooms, Bathroom, Air Con, TV everything you could need.|There are tennis courts and bicycles available at the property also there are self Laundry facilities there.|The edge of the bay is near Coles Bay and also the Freycenet National Park where you can do a number of different hikes to Coles Bay lookout, Wine Glass Bay Lookout, Tourville Lighthouse etc. or just sit on your porch cook a BBQ and get to know the neighbours, the wallabys. They are so beautiful. We had a wonderful stay at Edge Of The Bay. | Thank you All.

Fantastic experience! We stayed two nights in the three bedroom beach front cottage. The cottage has the most incredible view and location right on the ocean. The cottage is well-equipped if you want to cook and very comfortable. Wallabies wander around the sunsets are incredible. We wish we could have stayed longer but it was booked.

Stayed 2 nights in a 2-bedroom cabin. The cottage has the most incredible views across the bay and to the Hazards with the location right on the ocean, within walking distance to the beach. Water quality is an issue, it is the color of weak tea, but the cabin had a rainwater tank which was plumbed into the kitchen. Small but functionable bathroom. |The cottage is well-equipped if you want to cook and very comfortable. Local wallaby with her baby visited on both days almost close enough to touch.

What can I say? We LOVE Tasmania and The Edge of the Bay Resort. Cottage #2 had stunning views, the beach was spectacularly beautiful and feet from our cottage-white soft sand, shells everywhere, orange rocks, tide pools, etc. breathtaking. We also saw so many wallabies and had a resident one always outside our cottage. So adorable. Had dinner at the restaurant onsite one night and the meal was divine-perfectly cooked tuna steaks, short rib and homemade gnocchi with crumbed oysters, mussels and scallops to start - so good. And we’ve not had better focaccia. The selection of Tasmanian wines are so varied and so good. A fantastic experience all around - and right next to the park so we could climb 90+ floors to do the wineglass lookout and bay hike. So worth it. Loved, loved our stay and highly recommended!

Everything about this hotel is magical. The rooms are big and spacious, comfortable and ultra clean. The great big glass patio doors open up onto the most amazing view of the back side of Freycinet park (only about 7 months drive to the trails, you could probably even walk it if you wanted). There’s a small kitchenette that has everything you need, and a lounging area with a big ole couch. Super duper amazing property, you might even be lucky enough to see some wallabies hopping around on the grounds. The piece de resistance through was turning off all your lights at night and stepping out onto the back patio to a whole world of stars in the sky above, for miles in each direction. Also the staff is super great. Jamie and Christina were very helpful. Note: if they’re not at reception when you arrive just give them a ring, they live on site so they’re always around somewhere. And the big keychain on the key goes in the electricity slot by the door so don’t get confused why you can’t turn on the lights otherwise. This unbelievably short stay was easily one of the best highlights of our trip!

Really enjoyed our stay. Stunning views of the beach from our cottage. Great having a kitchenette. Loved the ground coffee. Lovely private beach. Very relaxing walking along the beach or sitting on the deck. Bed very comfortable and bathroom nice. Lovely hot water. Great resort.

The design of the units is ingenious; you can’t see another room from yours. Instead, all you see is beach and water. And wallabies and the rest of the local fauna. Decor is modern and super functional, as well. WiFi is spotty but you didn’t come here to work, right?

We loved our stay at Edge of the Bay Resort. |The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the views across the bay to the Hazards could not possibly surpass what we experienced from unit 29. ||A highlight was the very special meal we enjoyed at the on-site restaurant called On the Edge. Outstanding food and top service!!
