I had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Hotel Hobart! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and extremely professional. The room was modern, clean, and beautifully styled.

One of the highlights was the daily chocolate hour – such a unique and delightful experience! The location is also perfect – walking distance to Salamanca Place, the waterfront, and plenty of great cafes and restaurants.

This has to be the pick of hotels in the Hobart CBD. Excellent location in close walking distance of shopping, restaurants, pubs, and the Salamanca markets. The bed was extremely comfortable with fresh, smooth sheets. Fluffy towels and daily cleaning made the room invitingly welcoming. Large size rooms too. I recommend booking the rooms with a view of the harbour. We stayed here in the depth of winter, but so cosy!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was our first tine to Hobart and we were very happy with this choice of hotel. Valet service was incredible, quick and very friendly. Reception staff were amazing and couldn’t be more happy to help! Super close walking distance to docks, market and restaurants. We booked the cheapest room and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was - we had everything we needed!

We stayed at the Mövenpick in Hobart for 4 nights in the Derwent Suite. The waterfront and Mountain Views were magnificent and the room was extremely well proportioned with a huge bathroom. ||From the moment we checked in, we felt like valued visitors with the the receptionists being very friendly and professional.||On our first night, we ate at the in-house Italian restaurant enjoying a stone baked pizza and a very tasty prawn linguine pasta dish. The Dancing With Hops tap beer was great, as was the glass of fizz that my wife enjoyed. The waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive. We didn’t get chance to enjoy the free chocolate happy hour that the restaurant put on for residents each day.||Back to the room, the bathroom was well equipped with a comfortable well proportioned bath and a large rainforest style shower. The suite also had a separate loo in addition to the one in the bathroom.||The lounge and bedroom spaces both had large TVs and there was plenty of wardrobe space. The king bed and pillows were super comfy and we both enjoyed deep sleep during our stay. Being on the 16th floor also meant that there was very little street noise from below.||The hotel location is very convenient and if you don’t want to walk to local hotspots, Uber taxis were plentiful and cheap.||My wife and I have travelled extensively and we both felt that this was our favourite hotel stay, so thank you to the hotel manager and her/his team for a truly wonderful stay.

We stayed in two rooms. The first was a harbour-view and was super tiny. It had everything that you could need, and everything was high quality, but a really tiny room. And the view of the harbour was uninspiring: it would be more accurate to describe it as rooftop view with a tiny bit of the harbour. However, the bathroom was great, with a comfortable bath and a shower that was exceptional. And, hallelujah, decent sized towels!

The second room was a city view, much more spacious and the view was much the same as the first room. And cheaper. Same bathroom. Fantastic.

The staff were all super friendly, helpful. We used the valet parking and that worked perfectly. The restaurant was good (muffins were superb). All in all, a really pleasant experience. Recommended.

Central location in the city next to the mall, and several options for cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel rooms modern and clean. The free chocolate hour treats were nice. Valet service needs to be improved- you have to ask for your car at least half an hour in advance, and it sometimes took much longer. Hotel lobby is small, so there is nowhere to gather with a big group of families. There are no interconnecting rooms for bigger families, but you can request rooms next to each other.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was as well. We were on the fourth floor, no view, just a brick wall in front of the window. Considering there was not enough sunlight from outside, the light in the room could have been a bit stronger, it was always quite dark. The doors rattled due to air pressure every time elevator doors opened or other people were leaving their rooms, which was quite annoying. The hotel offered free chocolate/small cakes for free in the lobby for 1 hour every day, which was nice. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but for the price we paid, I expected better conditions.

Extremely comfortable beds. Great service by staff and recommend the valet parking. They have chocolate hour which is more aimed at adults than children but was delicious. They are very environmentally friendly as well. Be aware that inner rooms do not have a view but it didn’t bother us.
