A beautiful old building about 2.5km from the city centre. If you like walking it takes around 30 minutes to walk to the city. The rooms are beautiful, and the breakfast served in the morning is a perfect way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again.

The most perfect boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. The included breakfast is healthy with fruit, cereal, toast, cold meat and cheeses and quiche, perfect. The room was beautiful and welcoming. Our room had French doors leading to the gardens where we had several afternoon drinks and seafood. Close to Hobart central and across the road from the casino and restaurant. The lady running the day to day operation, unfortunately didn’t get her name, was welcoming and eager to please. We would have loved to pick the place up and take it with us! Highlight of our Tassie stay!

Can't fault them ! We booked the basic room and it was so comfortable. The location is perfect, its on a main Rd but you wouldn't even know when inside. You don't even know there are other guests until breakfast when you see them. The breakfast was fresh and lovely. Lovely weekend away! Thank you Rivulet!

Beautiful classy accommodation which has been renovated since our last visit 10 years ago.
Stylish decorated to compliment the heritage home. There are a variety of different rooms to choose from.
Relaxing garden to sit and enjoy a glass of wine.
The continental breakfast was delicious and generous. A glass of port is also provided.
Cathy, our host, was friendly and helpful.
A couple of items are needed in the room. Otherwise, a relaxing stay would highly recommended . Great location close to everything.

Lovely boutique hotel with large beautifully renovated rooms. Breakfast was delicious although server was not particularly friendly. Manager/owner Robert is lovely and welcoming. I was only there for one night and wished I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful period property, recently renovated. Rooms are spacious and clean with ensuite bathroom. A small continental breakfast is served each morning round a large dinning table where you can chat with other guests. We loved the location, 20 mins walk to Battery Point and 30 mins to the city, easy! On site parking for all rooms. Our only feedback was that there are no staff onsite (except for breakfast and turnover) so it doesn’t feel like a hotel, more of a boutique guest house!

Robert was gracious enough to allow us to take the whole mansion as a group, 15 of us in total. In saying that, though, THIS will also be my new go-to place when travelling as a couple. We all loved our stay and ALL really appreciated our rooms and attention to detail with the service. Not only were the breakfasts outstanding, but there were complimentary port and chocolates every night and champagne on arrival. Robert looked after us for the entire weekend in superb style. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and tatstefully decorated with every modern amenity. |In short The Rivulet excels in offering both luxury and privacy. I will definitely return, whether hiring one room or all. The service was exceptional, the staff respectful of personal space. It's the perfect getaway for those seeking a private, high-end retreat. Highly recommend.
