Never gambled, never seen a horse race, but the large rooms and great seating and catering options make it a great venue for hosting external events.

Recently attended a wake, and the lack of empathy from staff was absolutely shocking. There was behaviour they were unhappy with but the way they handled the event was disappointing despite everyone there grieving a tragic loss. The way they spoke to the family was rude and inappropriate. Closing the bar with no heads up at 8:30 pm, when the ending of the event was discussed and approved to finish at midnight. This left us to be kicked out 3 hours before we were supposed to. Would not recommend for this type of event.

We attended a wake at this venue and were extremely dissatisfied with the experience. Despite the family having paid for the full duration of the event, we were asked to leave three hours before the designated end time. This abrupt and inconvenient ejection occurred during one of the most challenging and emotional days for the family, demonstrating a severe lack of consideration and empathy from the staff. Their rudeness and disregard for the situation only compounded the family's distress. The staff's actions were not only inconsiderate but also showed a complete lack of professionalism and compassion, leaving us deeply disappointed and frustrated.
