Beautiful interior, cosy atmosphere. Very easy to get to seats and good visibility from anywhere. Sound and lighting was great, so a lovely intimate experience.

A wonderful blending of old and new architecture, with the atmosphere of the original theatre retained, whilst allowing for easier access to the various levels. It feels grand, yet also intimate. There is certainly variability in seat views to stage, with some views obscured by structural columns, so take a bit of care choosing your seats. The new bar and foyer areas certainly make socialising, both pre and post show, a far more comfortable affair than the old setup.

First time I've been since the new Uni building attached to it, fantastic upgrade with a bar now on each floor! Great view from the nose bleed section - or "The God's", but don't trip, it's a looong way down!! Seats/benches up there aren't very comfortable though.

I saw a fantastic show but the lay out and seating of this theatre is uncomfortable.
The seating upstairs is so close together your knees press against the seats infront.

Its difficult if your small to get a good view upstairs .

Nice authentic feel but better layout of seating is required for comfort .

We had hoped to catch a show at the Theatre Royal while in Hobart but unfortunately it was cancelled. Nonetheless we decided to have a look at the beautiful old building. It must have been spectacular in its heyday!

Absolutely Beautiful 😍 Keeping the Theatre so original is Stunning and looking around is a show all of its own......
The staff were Friendly and Helpful and being able to take my drink into the show was much nicer than having to quickly finish it....
The new entrance is good but not well signed. It does tell you about the new entrance on your ticket and the waiting area could do with more seats.....
