Fun night— sold out — lucky we booked tickets — the theatre is quaint and warm, converted from an old church.
The staff are really on the ball, ushering and checking ticket and bar service fast friendly.
Clean amenities some limited parking.

Has a nice bar. After hours street parking is necessary and can be a bit difficult at times. It is a very short walk from bus stop 2 in Elizabeth Street. Very nice interior and comfortable seats. Have been to a few performances now. Only complaint is on one occasion the sound was a bit low. They offer Senior rates on tickets.

It is always good to support local theatre. My grandchildren love the shows especially and it makes a great family outing.

Beautiful theatre with a pleasant atmosphere. Very small foyer. Bar is inside the theatre. Stage wings are very small and got crowded but nice big stage. Lots of dressing rooms and space with a kitchen downstairs for actors.

Doesn't respond to attempts to contacts them,
Didn't listen to patrons & society members concerns,
And later, when faced with one guest threatening another with a smashed glass held up to their throat; security kicked out the guest who was attacked and allowed the glass wielding attacker to go back to their seat. How can anyone feel safe here?
Bizarre behaviour by The Play House, of which I have yet to see an explanation from them about it.

I have been attending plays at the Theatre for more than 20 +years. I have enjoyed nearly every performance that I've been too. There is nothing else that can capture the feeling and ambience of seeing real people acting right in front of you on a stage. This is a beautiful old theatre,so go there and see a performance you won't regret it!!!!

Fantastic small-medium venue for stage plays. We attended 'Going back for Murder' and had a wonderful time. The bar is inside the theatre at the rear of the main seating and has gorgeous local bubbles (sparkling wine) available among other things. Staff are superbly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back 🥰

We saw Treasure Island. Pretty good. I've done many, many shows here as did my parents. I was on stage here in 1975. Lovely little theatre with lots of fond memories. I love that there is a bar in the auditorium itself. Long may it keep on presenting local drama.
