We had some issues in the beginning. The original room had a really bad smell. After going down to the reception, they investigated and gave us another room that was fine.

Perfectly fine rooms for the price. They are on the small side, but for the location and price the accommodation is worthwhile.

Had a beautiful conversation with Pink from reception. What a gorgeous lady. We arrived quite late and the 3 reception staff went above and beyond. We struggled with internet so the manager went and got us a modem for our room. |The bed was super comfy for a king room however the room size was very small. |Crisp sheets. |The bathroom was very very small indeed. Great location to cbd and markets on a Saturday.|Would definitely return

Well located in the centre of Hobart, a short walk from all the historic attractions surrounding the waterfront area. We chose this hotel because it also offered parking at a reasonable rate (some of the spaces were quite tight). There were also coin-operated washers and dryers in the basement which were useful. We chose a compact Queen room which we just fit into with one suitcase (open on the floor), but it was fine for our 3 night stay. The ensuite was also compact but adequate, since we got a very reasonable price per night. We had breakfast in the restaurant one morning and there was a wide choice of food. The room was fairly quiet, the lifts all worked well, and choosing this hotel worked out well for our needs, which tend towards getting value for money 🙂 Reception was fine whenever we had any queries, and everywhere was generally clean and tidy. We would happily stay here again if the price was right.

Probably the best value stay I've had in Australia. Rooms clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy walk down to the harbour and Salamanca. Friendly staff. Breakfast is great for the low cost. The basic, but done just right. Thanks.

Walkable distance to Salamanca markets.

Had a double bed + single bed room which was very tiny. The shower door had to be picked up and opened. There was a rain shower which worked like a water dripping from a tap.

And to top it all there is no WiFi. When asked the reception they are like it's working but I had 3 mobiles and nothing worked.

5 – Pink, Maksim & Shirish Made It Feel Like Home!

Massive shoutout to the team at Travelodge Hobart - especially Pink and Maksim, who absolutely nailed the customer service during our stay while Shirish handled management perfectly.

From the moment we checked in, both of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, looked after, and genuinely cared for. Whether it was local tips, helping with our room, or just having a warm, friendly vibe - nothing was too much trouble. You could tell they take real pride in what they do.

This isn’t our first time here, and it won’t be our last. With legends like Pink and Maksim on the front line, Travelodge Hobart has set the bar for what great service looks like.

Highly recommend for anyone who wants more than just a hotel — this place feels like home.

Good location. Easy access to markets. On site parking is limited. All parking costs $15 a night. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant is only open for breakfast - $22 per person. Readily stay here again.

I was very happy with my 3 day stay. The location is in a better part of town where you will be surrounded by churches rather than people asking you for cigarettes. It is close enough to key districts such as Salamanca, but far away enough to have a bit of quiet. One thing I loved is windows that open. There is breakfast (level one) for about $22. I recommend Rod Thai down the road for a cheap and delicious dinner. Staff helped whenever needed.
