Arrived in Devonport on the Spirit of Tasmania and stayed at Stony Rise Cottage B & B for two nights in December 2024 - excellent base from which to explore Devonport. Bedroom was very comfortable, shared bathroom was exceptionally clean and the breakfast room well set up. It was a very pleasant stay and very safe for a solo traveller who had nil knowledge of the area. Many thanks to the family who own and operate the business, it was lovely meeting you. Dianne G.

Fantastic B and B - Hosts Cliff and Fi were very welcoming and friendly. We had a room with an ensuite. The room was very clean and spacious- lovely little extra’s included in the room. Breakfast was simple but sufficient- choice of several cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juice, a small pack with fruit and crumpets plus bread available for toast. Lovely grounds unfortunately they have been suffering from extremely dry weather in Tassie - highly recommend (we will be spending another 2 nights there prior to returning to the mainland - Denis and Lynne

Beautiful room and building. Host was very, very nice. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with some fruit and breads, and home made preserves. Only drawback was that the bathroom was down the hall and would be shared with other guests, but in this case it wasn't an issue because we were the only people staying there this evening. A very comfortable place, I would stay here again.

Booked via AirBnB. We didn’t feel welcome as we arrived 15min past check in time (9.15pm) and given the poor lighting at arrival, I was unable to find reception. The path to the actual building was very dark. Noise from highway next door. Was not aware of 9pm cut of for check in and it did not get communicated at all during my conversations with the host.
Only one shared toilet and shower between 5 rooms resulting in long waiting times to use the bathroom.
Traveled with two infants.

We stayed at Stony Rise Cottage Bed and Breakfast on 24 August and had a wonderful stay. The owners are the most friendliest people and really looked after us.|The room was cosy and warm on a cold wet night. The bed was very comfortable and warm. Next morning for breakfast was great as well. We would highly recommend Stony Rise Cottage Bed & Breakfast.

Wow, a wonderful surprise - a step back in time! We had the very elegant Magnolia room complete with heated floor in bathroom (huge fan! 🤣) Bed was incredibly comfortable for us. Gorgeous quaint bnb accommodation, |Cliff was lovely to speak with from the phone to arrival and throughout our stay, great local knowledge and tips for sightseeing.|Continental brekkie in ‘the hub’ excellent, loved the decor, the set up, the gardens, ambience - just loved and enjoyed both our nights there. Restaurants only 5/6 mins away great location |Don’t hesitate just book it! 🌺😊

We enjoyed two night at this, our first ever B&B. We stayed in the room near the balcony and highway which created some noise but it wasn’t too annoying. Town is really easy to get to (5 mins) and with the highway entrance right next to the stay, quick to get anywhere. The gardens of this stay are amazing and Cliff is there every morning saying good morning.
I love the interior and exterior of this building, and it has some history, which Cliff will explain.
Thank you for making our first ever B&B experience great.

Stony Rise is a really well set out facility, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Breakfast is not over done, but is personalised and filling. It is nicely situated for the key parts and features of the north coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
