Brooke is amazing! Didn’t stop and was so attentive to all the guests. She made acknowledgement to me despite serving another. 2 junior staff free but didn’t acknowledge me. Sometimes it’s the hi or eye contact and nod that can make a big difference.

I booked this place at last minute as we planned to visit Beaconsfield and couple wineries the next day and I didn’t feel like to stay at Launceston. |We were pleasantly surprised by the room and food. The room was clean and spacious, completed with decent size bathroom and partial water view balcony. |The hotel food was fantastic, considering if was New Year’s Eve and they were still running the weekly special which is half priced parmi. We ended up ordering duck and chicken for mains and both were really good for pub meal.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a large booking for a reunion. The location in the Tamar was great, beautiful views and well located for winery tour. The rooms all have amazing views, are generally clean & modern. Room servicing: towels were changed each day but no fresh glasses or mugs instead washing up liquid & tea towel in room. A small humming noise coming from fuse box was rectified quickly and without fuss. Group catering (approx 30 adults) was a bit of a let-down, no flexibility or proactiveness to do extra catering when a buffet dinner was clearly under catered.

I would absolutely recommend this accommodation! My partner booked here for a surprise getaway for my 21st and my gosh he had done good!!

Huge shoutout to their receptionist who checked us in on the 23rd April 2025. She was more than accommodating, helped us when needed, explain everything we needed to know very clearly and overall just a lovely lady to be greeted by!

The place has an amazing view and a spacious spa! I’d suggest you bring your google chrome or tv cast as the connection to the wifi can effect the Netflix on the tv. Wifi works great for any other devices.

Restaurant is a lovely option if you don’t wish to go far. All waitress and staff were all very accommodating and all provided a helpful and friendly service during our stay.

The location is outside of the main city, nice and quiet with a picture perfect view!! Sunrises and sunsets were in definitely my highlight!

We will most definitely be back again! What a lovely location to visit as we are locals ☺️

We stayed here for 5 nights in March 2024 and were so impressed that we returned last month with dear friends from Hobart. Yet another fantastic experience for us and a new Tasmanian discovery for our friends. Well-appointed apartment, beautiful bathroom - but the standout must be the incredible views over the Tamar River. Sitting on the veranda at sunset and sunset provided us with wonderful memories.|Launceston is but a short 20 minutes away with Beaconsfield, George Town and great wineries in the other direction.|A special mention of the much-improved hotel restaurant meals and the congenial and obliging young man who appeared to be everywhere - behind the bar and serving meals and ensuring we all had a great dining experience.|We will return!

My recent stay was incredibly disappointing, to say the least. Despite informing them of our late arrival, we were greeted with utter chaos upon arrival after a long day of travel with two young children. No one was at the reception as promised, and despite trying all contact numbers provided—including emergency lines—there was no response.
It was only when another couple, who had received specific instructions and a code for late check-in, accidentally triggered the alarm that a staff member finally appeared. The room itself was a mess upon arrival, with a cot hastily thrown in the corner amidst rubbish on the floor and an empty tissue box in the cupboard. The second bedroom lacked A/C, making it extremely hot and stuffy—an issue that could be equally uncomfortable during winter.
Attempting to set up the cot at midnight was another ordeal, as the staff member on site was unable to assist. We were left to figure it out ourselves or risk unsafe sleeping arrangements for our baby. Throughout our stay, there was no manager available to address our concerns, despite our repeated requests.
When it came time to check out, once again, no one was at reception. It begs the question—where is the staff? Where are they when needed? I would have requested a refund but with the lack of staff it was impossible - maybe that’s the reason for no staff!
To add to the frustration, there are extensive road works in the area, making traffic to and from the hotel horrible - not necessarily a fault of the hotel but something to consider.
The only bright spot was the young staff in the restaurant, who were attentive and pleasant despite the chaos elsewhere. However, this does not redeem the overall experience. I would not recommend staying here and will certainly never return.
