This is the 5th time to Tasmania for my mum and myself and we have stayed at this caravan park the last 3 times. We stay in a 2 bedroom cabin and they just have a really homely, comfortable feel about them. Both bedrooms have large comfy beds. Great heating in cabins. Very helpful service.
I unfortunately had to call an ambulance on the first night this trip at around 10.30pm due to a health issue I’m suffering with and the owners were very understanding about this.
Highly recommend this park, it’s a great place to stay while exploring surrounding areas.

I wouldn’t recommend this campsite based on my experience. To provide some context, I’m generally an easygoing traveler and had the pleasure of meeting many kind and welcoming people during my time in Tasmania, including campsite managers and B&B hosts. However, my experience at this family-run campsite in Richmond was less than ideal. I found the atmosphere unwelcoming, particularly in interactions with the male host, who seemed difficult to approach or communicate with. For those seeking a smooth and enjoyable journey, it might be worth considering other options to avoid any potential discomfort.

Responding to the owner:

I have apologized countless times for my late arrival. When traveling to unfamiliar places, delays are sometimes unavoidable, and arriving late at a campsite should not be something unforgivable—especially when it was late at night, and I had a sleeping child with me. Yet, you treated us as though we were being expelled.
A friend who accompanied us was only there to ensure we arrived safely and could settle in for the night. We didn’t even unpack our luggage. I tried to explain the situation and resolve the matter with you, but you kept shouting, showing no willingness to communicate.
The next morning, I went to your campsite office again to apologize and explain the reasons for my late arrival the previous night. Instead of understanding, you continued shouting at me and told me to leave your campsite.
I have nothing more to add. Let others read the negative reviews—they are all truthful. No one is lying.

Booked in for a night in our motorhome. Good sized sites, great views, and friendly staff. Amenities are clean and well presented. Indoor heated pool, games room and outdoor play equipment for the kids, barbecue areas, and camp kitchens if needed as well.

Reasonable rates and a great location - we can't ask for much more!
