Second time having a function here & highly recommend this venue. This is the reason I returned second time around. The service & food was spot on, my guests enjoyed themselves & loved the food even though I ordered too much 😂
Chris the Event manager is so good, easy communication, everything was how I wanted it & our section was blocked off for my husband surprise 50th birthday. Great service & happy with music DJ played our kind of music which was a bonus. Will definitely return in the future! Thank you 2 the The Sound Garden staff & Chris 👌🏼😊

I recently attended a corporate event at The Sound Garden with Brisbane PA Network, and although I didn’t sample much of the food or drinks (designated driver duties), I was thoroughly impressed with the venue itself!

The Sound Garden boasts a capacity of 350 people spread across two vibrant levels. I was excited to experience what I had heard was a funky, dynamic venue perfect for chilled corporate gatherings—and it did not disappoint!

The lower level features an inviting outdoor garden and a spacious indoor area that was gearing up for a live band performance, offering a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. Ascending the internal staircase, you’re greeted by an impressive seven-metre tree, which serves as the stunning centrepiece. Disappointing Experience – Racial Profiling & Overpriced Drinks

I recently visited the sound garden, and I have to say, my experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment I arrived, I felt unwelcome due to what seemed like clear racial profiling by the staff. Instead of being greeted with hospitality, I was met with unnecessary scrutiny, which set a negative tone for the entire visit.

Beyond that, the drink prices were absolutely outrageous for what was offered. I don’t mind paying a premium for quality, but the drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. I’ve had better cocktails at half the cost elsewhere, so I can’t justify spending money here again.

To make matters worse, the security guard was not only rude but also completely unprofessional. He seemed more focused on exerting unnecessary authority rather than providing actual security. Frankly, I doubt he could guard anything more valuable than a cheeseburger. His attitude was unpleasant, and his lack of professionalism only reinforced my decision never to return.

Overall, this place needs a serious overhaul in terms of staff training, customer service, and pricing. Until then, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable night out.

Came into the Sound Garden for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat before a concert at the Music Hall next door. Sunday, it was busy inside but the service was good. The food was delicious for ‘pub’ food. A big shout to Millie who was the waitress bringing out all the meals, she was fantastic, polite and very helpful. Employees like Millie is what makes coming to places more worthwhile. The food too was delicious. Love the popcorn pork.

Nice venue for our work function, but... Way too loud. Way way too loud. Especially with a function upstairs. We could barely carry on conversations. Recommend the venue invest in acoustic baffles (possibly removable) for the stair area to reduce the sound travelling upstairs by that method and implement independent PA volume controls for the second floor.

Awesome atmosphere and staff. Drink selection and food is great and fairly priced, especially for so close to the CBD. Live music was very good and being so close to the Fortitude Music Hall, it's a no brainer to go there before your concert 😎

The Sound Garden is one of the better places to go in the Valley. Being a person who goes out very sporadically, The Sound Garden is always consistent, great bar service, solid music, good vibes and clean! Highly recommend for a function or a late night boogie!
