Location was perfect for our night out on the town but the room itself was sub par. The air con was extremely mouldy, the whole place needs renovating and updating. Suited our needs as we weren’t in the room for long. Staff friendly and bed was comfortable.

I wish I’d read the reviews online before staying. I sent a polite email requesting a partial refund based on these abysmal accomodation not matching the pictures and description online. Absolutely no response, let alone apology.
This unit had:
- Dirty surfaces- TV, bathroom, coffee table (extremely sticky with toenail and hair on it), bathroom (shower screen and tiles need a good clean)
- Blood stain on white sheets in main bedroom
- Dirty, rundown couches- no springs left and old business cards and rubbish down the cracks
- A persistent awful smell from first bathroom- not made by us. Toilet is leaking or something.
- Second shower constant leak
- Door taken off in main bedroom bathroom
- Air conditioner in main bedroom doesn't work
- Plug in kitchen doesn't work- sink can't fill up
- Oven filthy (and rest of surfaces)
- Coffee machine covered in dust
- Baby cockroaches came out across the floor and benchtop on our second night- we had no food out.

It should be closed and completely overhauled. They’ve spent time on the pool and gym area, but if our room is anything to go by- plenty more work to do!

Wouldn't say it's the worst place but for the price they charge it most definitely isn't worth it. My room is very out dated, the fridge wasn't cleaned out prior to checking in as someone's left food in it. The staff are friendly and happy to assist but the price of the rooms it's not worth it when you can stay at Skytower for same amount of nights additional $20. I was originally staying here for 8 nights but thankfully reduced it to 4 nights.

The place is okay. Room service was apparently weekly not daily. It has got all the utensils should you want to cook a meal. The location isn't great and felt dangerous at night to walk alone. I'd avoid spring hill or fortitude valley.

Stayed for a weekend in late August 2024 .Had a 2 bedroom apartment. Furniture is old and dated needs to be updated , lounge was very uncomfortable and lots of marks all over it . Downstairs bathroom was in need of a good scrub inside and out lots of dirt around the shower screen ( maybe change your cleaners ) and what I found most strange was No Toaster and not enough cutlery for 4 people and only 2 wine glasses. Maybe need to call into K Mark and grab a few more things 🤔 . Probably would not stay there again . Staff were nice though 👌.

Chose this place after I had accidentally forgotten to pay on time for another hotel.
Thought as the hotel was in Spring Hill that we would be close to restaurants/cafes/a decent pub. There was barely anything close by, so we ended up driving to Milton for dinner on the second night of our stay.
Cheap parking is a bonus.

Room was not good. Photos online are NOTHING like what the rooms actually are.
Furniture very worn, scuff marks or water damage to every piece of furniture in the room, however the bed was comfortable.
Vending machine in lobby doesn't work.
Great view over towards the eastern side of Brisbane.
Shame about the rooms, but wouldn't stay here again.

Dear Australian community, I took all this to Fair trade Australia after discovering that the rooms look nothing like the pictures. The wonderful receptionist thankfully upgraded us but a lot was still the same. This is not sourness, this is justice. Not the receptionist fault, nor should it be an acceptable trade.

However what a no surprise. An email from the governing body, the owner denies everything despite me having evidence of bank statements, bookings and extra photos and proceeds to give a very educated well rehearsed response on how their cleaning system works. Typical super lawyer stuff.

All Ridge Apartments had to say is that I booked with Agoda, its Agoda I should take it up with and be upset with. So Agoda, the booking agent is responsible for the standards of your room. Wow. Just wait and see if there is any response to this review where they typically say, sorry we don't have a record of reservation. Shall I upload a picture of the room key as well to prove it? I sound like a chat gpt bot.

Mr. Ridge hotel, you are a disgusting human being that knows Australia's justice system is weak and exploits that. Disgusting for taking advantage of hard working Australians that are struggling to find accomodation.

It is up to you if you want to take the risk but that's your choice. I don't know about you, but if I worked hard I surely wouldn't want to unwind in surroundings that are worse than my own house. What is the point of going on a break.

This is their scam people. The owner cheaps out to save on costs but charges the customer the base price. They then take a security bond of a $100, but how can you tell who broke things when things are already broken!! They then have a case to blame you right. Then they rinse and repeat on the next guest. Congratulations, security bond SCAM. Oh and don't forgot the daily parking of $20 or $30 dollars per day, can't remember the exact price of that one.

Check their ABN. Owned by the Unicorn family? Who?

Notice how no one has any photos on these reviews to prove it? Because that feature is turned off and don't even bother with Fair Trade. You are only wasting your time and energy. The little guy never gets heard. Just vote with your wallet and do not stay here until they go bankrupt. But, Australia is in decline of accomodation. The perfect SCAM.

We had the misfortune of staying at Ridge, and I have to say it was nothing short of a nightmare. Within the first five minutes of our arrival, I found myself fishing out a toilet brush head from the bowl because it detached. And gloves? Forget about it. We were also greeted by an unwelcome guest, a cockroach in the bathroom. The carpet in our room resembled a topography map waiting to trip unsuspecting guests. The bathroom was missing parts of the towel rack, leaving us to wonder about the hotel's commitment to even the most rudimentary amenities. The room was decorated with dusty furniture and part of the lighting was not working.

Moving to a smaller room didn't help either, it just introduced us to more dusty furniture and another unwelcome bedfellow in the form of a morning cockroach. Our stay at Ridge completely ruined our holiday in Brisbane.
