They managed to get us seating outdoors so I was super grateful for that as all tables were reserved.

Lighting inside (restaurant area) is quite dark.
Outside seating has a nice breeze, views and live music with the playground on the far right and lots of green grass area for the kids to play.

I loved my Philly steak sandwich I ordered, it was amazing. The wine, garlic & herb bread were just delicious. The girls brought the cake out and added a cute candle to it which was so thoughtful.

We thoroughly had such a nice time there with the afternoon sunset, breeze and music.

(Table decor was added by myself)

Awesome location with so much to offer. Multiple restaurants and cafes. They hold concerts, festivals, family nights, weddings and other events. They have a huge up stairs area with beautiful chandeliers which I assume is where they hold their weddings and graduations.

One of the restaurants has a beach section where you can sit on bean bags on the sand and enjoy drinks & food.

It’s such a good location and well thought out.

Sandstone never fails to impress! Food, atmosphere and staff always create a great night. The food is exceptional and slowly going through the menu is a must. The oysters are consistently amazing, As well as every one of the dishes that have fish. We love this place and will return.

What an awesome find. Celebrated and adult and child's birthday and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day. Heaps of things for the children to do and then after our delicious lunch the adults sat out on the lawn. Highly recommend and although a fairly long drive for us, we will be back

Been a few times for family celebrations 🍾. Great place to hold any functions at. Best part was "very child friendly" AWESOME play ground for them. The food was good, & if you ordered their oven pizza, variety of toppings was at your own choosing. It was delivered in a timely manner. You can also order from their menu (yummm) with food portions quiet large. Location wise was far but worth it. Staff was friendly & efficient. My only "gripe" was the 2hr allocation time you book your outside table for, and then you are politely told to vacate to the lawn (table & chairs provided). They also have an Oyster bar for those who loves seafood. My experiences from those few times I have visited there, was nice, relaxed (until your time is up) & very enjoyable.

Went there for dinner. Great service, excellent children’s playground, lovely staff. Had 3 visits. Tried an abundance of food and all outstanding. Quick efficient ordering process and at the table quickly. Food tasted amazing and will go back on every opportunity.

We were at the hotel for a birthday dinner, if you have more than 20 guests they tell you that you'll have to book a function room, we didn't so it was just a table for us.
Great kids room and playground area although at the time the big jumping pillow had deflated.
The view and area are amazing when dining outside.
It seemed to be a busy Saturday so keep that in mind when reading. I didn't hear any complaints about everyone else's food but my crispy chicken burger was just awful, it tasted like it was made with chicken back meat instead of breast meat and my entree arrived after my main.
I will be going back but I won't be ordering that meal again.

This place is below average.

If you’re going to eat in the restaurant you need to make a reservation. And probably a week in advance. By saying this the menu is a basic pub menu nothing spectacular.

Only other things to eat are pizzas or fish and chips at the oyster bar.

As we didn’t have a booking we ate at the oyster shack. While they have menu u they still require you to collect your meals like a bistro. But still charge that nice high venue fee. For 3 meals, 2 soft drinks and a beer this average fish and chip meal set us back $108 dollars + menu u fees. If you’re going to offer menu u you need to offer table service. Your already taking the leg work out of having waiters.

There was lots of entertainment for Australia Day. No shade, we saw a lot of cool cabanas so bring one.

Overall not a fan! Head to one of the lagoons and order from a local cafe. Buy drinks and enjoy the shade.

Would I come back….. probably not unless I was well fed!
