Tank stream social is like the Disneyland for Coffee lovers. The industrial warehouse encloses everything you need to satisfy your coffee and food cravings.

Onsite there is a coffee machine repair centre (you can watch the guys at work through the workshop windows while you relax in the cafe), a “Coffee Playground” that entices you to test drive machines, grinders and alternative brewing techniques, and most importantly there is a large and inviting area for you to enjoy their cafe offerings. The atmosphere is very inviting, even inside there is a feeling of openness due to the high warehouse ceilings and the clever interior design.

The service is super friendly and attentive and i really encourage you to let the staff help you in exploring something different that your usual go to coffee. I am kicking myself that i didn’t try the bulletproof coffee or the Cascara cherry brew. It all looked and smelt amazing!

The food is equally matched with the coffee. Everything we tried was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. All the breakfast favourites are there; and a few variations on a theme for good measure.

There is a steady flow of patrons so expect the place to be busy but efficient.

A great place, definitely worth a visit.

Great spot for coffee done by professionals, with a tasty menu as well. These folks sell every coffee brewing device you could dream of, and then some. Not to mention all of the consumables for your machine, and servicing too. Somehow pulls off a European sports car racing pit meets weekend market vibe - casual yet home to $10k home coffee makers. I'm going back!

Walked in on Saturday with family, no greeting, no sign for wait to be seated or sit and order at counter. Staff gave no directions, left standing in line confused with what procedure was. Ordered the pan potato hash came with a stingy 7 cubes of chorizo. Although tasted great, paying $24 you would expect a decent serving portion. Very disappointing experience overall.

Great hidden cafe!!! Love the interior design. I ordered the spicy hash and mince (full of yummy flavours) and the coffee was really good. The service was good although I have to say they were way too efficient. They wanted to clear my plate a few times when I was trying to take my time to enjoy the food. Just chill guys!

INTERESTING & UNIQUE
Somehow, this place pulls off an industrial car dealership/repair centre vibe as a coffee pitstop.

COFFEE
Not overly bitter, nor does it have an after-taste.

FOOD
I tried the "eggs your way" for $13.00
Two medium sourdough pieces of toast, small serving of tasty tomato paste, as opposed to a salsa with 2 x poached eggs.
It was the perfect serving for me, but not enough for a bigger eater.

ATMOSPHERE
The music was a little doof, doof, doof, but not so loud that it was unpleasant. The area is open and clean with the serving area placed in the middle. Live plants break up the harsh lines of the industrial vibe.

Overall, I give the place a 4.5 star 🌟 rating

Coffee was wonderful and that’s where it ends. Poor customer service (reflected many a times in other reviews). Wrong food orders were brought around despite giving the table number. The last dish was brought out incorrectly three times despite clarifying what the actual item was. Waiting 45 mins (much after everyone else was done with their food) and still meal did not arrive. Had to clarify the situation >8 times to several different servers. Eventually had to ask for a refund because food did not arrive. Even at this time, a very disinterested apology and no means of compensation were offered. Shame that a customer of yours had to leave without eating any food!

FYI: Beside my food never arriving (which I could even consider a once off bad day), everyone sitting outside had their coffee and food orders brought to the wrong tables and eventually everyone just called out what they ordered (disappointing given they ask for a table number!) Service/management overseeing staff more closely needs a major check in!

A very interesting and nice cafe! The cafe has a really nice and modern touch. Food was great! Ordered the Chill’y Scramble for myself and was really good! Coffee was pretty standard. Apart from the great food and atmosphere, you can also look at their coffee machine showrooms after eating! I love looking at different coffee machines and gadgets. So definitely give this place a go if you also love your coffee gadgets!
