This hotel advertises’The best Steaks in Town’. obviously to attract more clients. Had a few drinks with friends and asked when the kitchen closes. One bar tender says 8:30pm. Went to order some meals and the rude cranky woman said kitchen was closed …it was 8:10pm. Spent more money over the bar asked for 2x sticky date puddings. The other lovely bar tender asked the chefs that said yes. As I was paying the cranky rude girl said to the bar tender ‘your game asking them for 2 deserts. I wouldn’t be going back in the kitchen. One of the boys is out the back having a cigarette! They’ll be pissed off”. Waited for over half an hour…. No dessert. Got a refund and bought pizza across the road. We are locals and won’t be coming back. The worst experience for a local pub.

Stopped in for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and size of the lunch steak i received. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stop in again, cheers.

Three of us went to lunch and the meals we had we couldn't fault it. They were large but delicious. Service was excellent too. Love the pub, its old but charming, much better than the modern ones as they have no character.

Great pub, just had a fantastic steak with the best whiskey BBQ sauce I've ever had. The rest of the family could not fault their meals either. Great atmosphere. 10/10.

Called in for an early lunch on way through town. Lovely staff. The special of the day was creamy garlic prawns with rice. It was served with a delicious side salad. Restaurant quality in taste and presentation. Great price. Will definitely be back.
