Eight of us stopped in for some lunch at The Goat Shed at 1:20pm. Knowing that the cafe closed at 2pm, we thought that we’d at least have a quick drink just to check the place out. Not only could we order from the lunch menu, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and owner. I had the best veggie burger that I’ve had the pleasure to eat, whilst the other meals ranged from goat burgers, to bratwurst hotdogs, to bacon and egg roll. You could choose from smoothies, soft drinks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks. A great little business that I’m sure we’ll visit again when we’re out Samford way.

I found this little place by accident, and I can't wait to go back. Very friendly owners and chill vibes. Great music and views for a quiet beer or coffee.
They are building a little hooves area, which will be great for little kids to visit (will be ready by end of 2023).

Growing new motorcycle friendly coffee shop along Samford Road. Was a great stop on the way back down from Mt. Glorious this cold morning for a tasty hot coffee. Owner was friendly and keen to share his plans to grow and expand.

Dropped in as I was riding past and had the owner Steve come up for a chat. Absolute character of a bloke, LOVES his bikes! Great to see he has a vision and big plans for the business, looking forward to popping in from time to time to see how it’s all going

We have been making a habit of rotating coffee shops in the Samford area after our morning walks, and, as a first, dropped by The City Chicks / Goat Shed Cafe on Mt Glorious Road today between 9-10AM.
The Cappuccino in a mug was fine, the Chai Latte in a mug disappointing, the wait long, and the price of $13 for both about average.
The plain hot croissants ordered were not tasty at all, cold inside, and unapologetically (sic) charged at the price of a Ham’n Cheese Croissant i.e. $12.50 each.
The children’s play space in the goat enclosure looked very unclean, unsupervised except for parents chatting with each other, and we did not spot a safe place where the animals could retreat to.
Overall an unenjoyable if not uncomfortable experience.

Thank you Ingrid for the great Goat 🐐 burger and definitely enjoyed the chat afterwards. Looking forward to seeing the progress well worth a stop in and supporting a small business.

I drove past this cafe on the way to a job (I’m not from this area) during a week day and thought “that’s looks interesting” so I detoured on the way back and dropped in. Beautiful spot, very quirky yet tranquil, set up in the bush. Very friendly service by Ingrid, the owner of the cafe, made me feel very valued and at home. Bought a coffee and a cheese toasty, very very nice, coffee was the perfect taste and temperature, the toasty was delicious with a bonus orange sliced up to finish!! It was a very pleasant experience, thank you so much! I’m glad I stopped here, happy to support local business…see you next time I’m
coming through 😎👍
